Yes. Depreciation proof.
But for the love of god, get someone who knows what they're looking at to go with you. Anybody can hide rust with a bit of filler and some shiny paint. You need to get right underneath the car.
I've had lots of mk1's.
The mechanicals are the easy part, its rot you've got to watch out for. Inner sills, outer sills, rear arches, bottoms of doors and tailgate.
Rust. Rust. So much Rust.
I've toyed with the idea of having a tractor unit just for a daily.
One of my (ex) neighbours owns Savilles's freights and some of the prices they get for their old ones is scandelous! £10k sometimes!
It would be amazing driving one around as a daily! lol!!
You have made yourself clear now.
Before.... ''182 wheels, colour?'' does not really make any sense.
The further east you go on the M4, people seem to be a bit slower, mentally.

Did a full valet on my wifes X5. Started at 9am and have just finished. Its nowhere near as clean as i'd like but it will have to do. Fcuk me that was a dirty car. And 3 times the size of the clio's I normally do!
It's the nature of some cars though. I find that convertibles big engines and high insurance cars are typical of having high numbers of owners. People buy them and insure them, then come renewal/mot time realise they made a mistake and move them on. RS turbo's back in the day used to have one...
I remember when these were 3/4 years old and you couldn't give them away. I remember someone trying to px one and I tried about 10 different dealers and nobody wanted it.
A bit of scene tax and they're all the rage now!
