TBH, its not as mint as i'd like. If I had endless money and enthusiasm i'd replace all 7 glass panels with brand new and get new window rubbers. But I have to stop somewhere.
Tbh mate if someone wants it they can make me an offer. If my tax bill is big then I'll advertise it but if I don't have to sell it I won't. Just means I need to find somewhere to store it because i'm fcuked if I'm leaving it outside!!
4 owners, 51k, belts done at 48k. Doesn't leak a drop of oil or water, starts first time everytime and is honestly fantastic to drive. It wants for nothing. (I just need to find the rattle/squeek behind the dash because it annoys the f**k out of me)
There's no way i'd have blown all this money...
I am one of you deep down. I just try and avoid it because my OCD kicks in. I covered every panel 5 times tonight, each time I used the same put on/buff off pattern to minimise damage.
Someone may or may not have caught me using a flat head screwdriver and a cloth cleaning out the gaps in the...
It's a pretty sound investment tbh. Its never going to go down in value as long as the next owner keeps it off the road.
Ford fan boys will be all over it.
So tonight was THE night. My mate went down (while I was at work bless his cotton socks!) and fitted the new sunroof seal and the sunroof.
I went down at about 830 and set about washing it, polishing it then waxing it. I also fitted my new tailgate badges as they really se the rear end of a...
LOL!! You wouldn't be the first. I had some whale type music on down the yard tonight. Polishing away like a lunatic. I imagine I looked very similar to how Ian beale looked tonight on eastenders...
Got a little update coming.
I had visions of it being all cloudy in the morning. I've still got to valet it yet but I wanted to get some protection on the paint before I took it outside.
FFs. I'm turning into a right nerd.
Managed to wash it with pure water from stealing the window cleaners supply next door. Hope doesn't notice.... Barely had to touch the paint so it's caused very little (if any) damage. I only have polishing and waxing to do by 1130.... Chop chop fat boy!!
I don't think you know just how much its raining.
I do have a bucket though. Sadly the tap is about 100m from the car.
Fcuk it. I'm going. See you in a bit!
I think i've sussed it...
I'm going to drive it outside slowly, let it rain all over the car, wash it rather gingerly with a mitt and then throw lots of buckets of water over it.
Dry it, polish/wax.
Thoughts?!
Thats a good idea in theory but if I drive to the garage, I have to drive back. And the unit is down a long muddy lane. And its pissing down outside! lol.
Ffs.
British weather sucks ass.
Help me!!!
I'm due to go down and wax the car tonight but i've just been down there and its got a bit of dust on it. (Its stored in a dirty unit)
I can't wash it because of where it is.
What is the safest way of polishing / waxing it tonight without causing too much swirling.
No, fcuk off.
Why don't you go to BMWsaturday? Oh right, you can'tbecause its full of complete nerds and wannabe gangsters rolling in 318's with CSL reps.
To be honest, i've considered breaking my track car and keeping this in the garage, only using it for sunny days etc. But tbh i've no idea really. I am proper obsessed with it though. I couldn't take itto the supermarket for example incase someone dents it. I literally want to wrap it up in...
Wheels aren't as good as I'd hoped but I can address that later on in the year. Centre caps are being done in the original dark grey. Sticking as close to factory as possible.
