If you can feel it with your fingernail, the only way to fix it 100% to get it painted.
You could tidy it up/make it less noticeable by doing a bit of sanding/polishing but you will never get rid of it unless you get it painted.
Bummer. :(
Back on topic, I did an oil/filter change after 500 miles just for peace of mind.
If for any reason there was a bit of s**t floating about in the engine after it had been built, I'd rather get it out sooner than later.
I'd be taking it to a specialist (depending on your location) off this forum before throwing all that money on it. That's over £1000's worth of work surely?!
Iirc, Renault themselves suggest there is minimal tolerance (if any at all!) for skimming the head on an F4r engine. And has been pointed...
Is anybody going through / past Wednesbury and fancy picking up an old Cs.net member who is a bit of a chump but a good laugh?
I said I'd get him but i've just realised its 70 miles and an hour out of my way.
Anyone help a tubby ginger bloke out? (me, not him)
Pipe down boy.
The OP asked how much it cost for a FULL RESPRAY. I replied to that question.
Other people then said they paid £500 for a quick blow over.
Now if you re-read the OP, he never said ''How much for a quick blow over''. He asked How much for a FULL RESPRAY.
Nugget.
You're a legend. I'll pop and get some on monday.
It was painted thursday, flatted and G3'd on friday and now its sat in a unit until I collect it monday night. I'll be polishing/waxing it one night next week (cooler) as long as the weather holds out.
Quick question chaps.
My car was resprayed yesterday and I want to lay down some protection on it. IS it safe to do that now so soon after painting it?! DOn't want to be applying 4/5 coats of stuff so ideally just a one coat wonder. I also don't have time to order off the internet so Ideally...
Oh believe me its not! Inside is caked in about 3mm of dust. Its everywhere. I'm going to have to remove all the interior one night next week and get it all wet-vac'd. Even the insides of the doors and tailgate there is a 1m pile of dust thats settled.
Not looking forward to that bit.
Right. Before I start this update I have to confess to being a little bit homosexual. I don't want to do any 'reveal' shots as it were, I want to save it for CSS.
(gay!!!)
But anyway, I got there this morning and it had only come out of the paint booth at 5pm last night so it was looking...
Just got back. Got a few pics I'm uploading now. Sadly it's not 100% finished as a few nightly little clips broke due to both brittleness and my ham fisted self. Trip to the dealers on monday then.
My sister's got a Newfie and it is fcuking huge. At 6 months old it is as big as a Labrador already. I want to kick it every time I meet it because it's as distructive as any other puppy but due to its size it causes 5 times the damage.
No mate. I'll get CSS out of the way then i'll probably advertise it. If I don't get what I want for it then i'll gladly keep it, its not going to de value. My only concern is not having anywhere to store it as I don't really want it parked outside after spending £££ getting it painted.
