No its fine to add just a coat off wax after a wash. Once you paint is in good shape, you should be able to maintain the finish with washing and waxing. A good wax will benifit from multiple coats, depth and gloss should increse.

Two things that help. Move the sticky pad on the bracket back ( it can be peeled off and stuck back on) this allows the unit to sit snug against the two little rubber bits that stop the bracket hitting the screen. Also route the wires through the bracket then into the back off the unit...

The Autoglym Catologue lists about 6 different Traffic Film removers. Looking at the descriptions Powermax 3 and 4 will be fine on paint . Multiwash PM3 is medium strength would go for that one.

Mothers is very alike to the Meguiars Deep Cyrstal stage 1-3 range. This had a paint cleaner, polish and carnuba wax. Autoglym is quite a different product to the above and does not directly compare. What do your feel the look is lacking? Shine, depth?

Tried to remove some cement from an alloy wheel on a mates car, nothing would take it off.

They should wash ok. I was recommended to use Woolite when washing but its hard to find, Sainsburys sometimes sell it.
