Any pics Jay?
Had same problem as Blue 182, the unit would work in the middle off screen, but I doubt the laser sensor would work due to the wipers. The unit also took a long time to start up for the first time. If the unit dropped signalon the move it would not pick up again unless I...

^^^ SUPERB photo :D
Cheers :)
The 182 ones are rather flimsy and thin, but match the interior well. I asked for a price on them for a spare set for mine but they where silly money. Got some geniune Renualt Rubber ones in there for day to day use now.

Like you say its the whole ownig one factor, they are a true classic. Most insurance companies want a Tracker and garaged over...
Whats the mileage on the Escort, are you going to be using it as a daily drive? Running costs will be a lot more than the 182, and insurance will be a fair bit more.
The Escort seems fairly cheap, I was really considering one before I got my 182, but the ones I looked at where all at least 14...

When mine get really dirty I use Autoglym Engine and Machine Cleaner or Motorcycle cleaner. (Both the same product )...
I polished and extra glossed mine with Autoglym when I picked it up and havent had to use anything other then car saop on mine.
I was using half sponge to get inside to clean mine till Brazo recommended a wheel brush from halfords, works a treat, no more grazed knuckles.
I wanted to do like you Blue have a spare set off carpet matts but they where silly money.
Theses are so easy to keep clean too.

I got some from Renault Shaun, much easier to keep clean, and only cost 17 quid too.
Mothers is very alike to the Meguiars commecial stuff we get over here.
Not used any Sonus bits, but I think I will be going for the Poorboys SSR range off polishes when I get my PC. Very user friendly and can be used in the sun or shade.
