Its good to ask peoples opinions though, its alright asking a garage but no two garages will be the same... If he was in Glasgow i could recommend/guarntee about 6 garages that wouldnt rip you off because of the experiences ive had with them.

LoL @ self respecting GTi owner...:) To put into perspective there very well matched even if the GTi is heavier! The Ed30 on the other hand, that is a very, very quick hatch! I got my arse handed to me on a plate by one of them, seriously fast! IMO i was more impressed with that than the R32??

Absolutley mate but then with the right driver and the right tyres from a standing start i reckon my phase 1 (163bhp/ton) would have it, half a car length atleast, i may be wrong but im speaking from general experience.

Im not saying its slow, far from it, i just think the phase 1 is quicker. Atleast the ones ive had a blast with, this again could be down to poor tyres and driver error/mis-shift if you will...! Each to there own though, 197bhp @ 1328kg's isnt exactly eye watering is it though?
