I do love focus ST170's. Probably one of the best hatchback chassis of our time imo.
But I also agree, its a warm hatch at best. Just nowhere near enough power to wear the ST badge.
Welcome to CS. :)
I may be wrong.... (could have been an internet rumour)
But to register an engine swap with the DVLA, you need to provide evidence that the conversion was carried out by a fully qualified garage...
Not having a dig mate, I know naff all about hondas.
I'm just saying (to all the people who said it was cheap) that i'm suprised thats classed as cheap.
First of all, i'd like to say that the clio IS a better car, but...
The Fiesta is built better, respnds to mods better, has better steering, a much better gearbox and i don't know this as a fact, but i'm willing to bet it doesn't cost £1,000,000 to do a cambelt.
Good choice, good colour and...
If it had the bodywork done, that would make £1500. And to do it would cost less than £200!
As it is, I can't see anyone wanting to offer even a grand for it.
(If I had the space, i'd be all over it. LOVE exclusives. )
For race cars its probably down to weight and the fact its permanent. I can't see screw in style manufacturers towing eyes being all that safe.
For the sheep on here, they just do what ever the next guy does.
Perhaps this is the garage to call?

On my car, I have removed the PAS and the AC so i think thats a bit different.
I fitted a Renault 11 alternator bracket (£12 from renault) and a belt from the local motor factors for £5.
But if you're keeping the PAS, you will need to buy the proper kit. Don't forget that the kit comes with...
I removed my first engine yesterday. (me and a mate, neither of us know what we're doing)
I was proper chuffed. All out in one piece and NOTHING broken. :)
It will be when you're getting through tyres every 3000 miles.
They're not 195/50/15s no more son! You'll be looking at £100 a corner minimum for semi decent stuff.
