I don't mean this to sound rude, (You seem like a nice guy tbh) but you really shouldn't be giving out advice on a subject that you know nothing about.
Back OT...
First of all, ring the dealer. They are car dealers not wild tigers that want to rip you limb from limb. Explain whats broken on...
Why would you even bother making this thread???
They either don't exist or don't have the car for sale so look elsewhere.
Do you need a hand with your shoelaces?
Focii are all over the place. I'm paying the same for them now as I was 2 years ago and they're still as popular as ever.
I bought a Y plate today actually, 98k, 1 owner from new, FSH, I paid Just short of £1100 for it. LAst year and the year before they were going for the same money! Mental.
Whats crawled up your ass?
Exactly.
People in here....'' I can't believe you bought a car without HPI'ing it. But I think you should tell people/name and shame so they don't buy it''
Well if you heed your own advice, you won't get caught out will you so whats the problem??
Legally, there's f all he can do about it.
If two cars crash at 80mph on a track with one insured and one not insured, then the insured man claims off his own insurance and the non insured man goes home with nothing. Irrelavant of blame.
If this guy wants to go through his insurance then...
I reckon the cambelt tensioner has failed (he's listed it as needing replacing) and its dropped a valve, hence the misfire.
If it was a coilpack you can buy them on here/ebay for under £15 and it takes 2 minutes to fit.
I've got too many cars Tom. I've scrapped some real beauties this week, I just need the space.
Audi A4 Avant, 2.8 Quattro Sport, Auto, Leather, Bose, T plate... Weighed it in. It broke my heart. :(
Iirc, the HPI certificate was on the 10th of the month, Nick's HPI showed it was declared a Cat C on the 11th.
The crafty chap had obviously HPI'd it on purpose before it got written off officially.
Nick (monkeyknifefight) has done the right thing.
I finished work at 530 and while wating for a lift I've done some digging and the guy (who works about 10-12 miles from my place) is a bit of a hooligan to put it politely.
He's got his money back and for him that was the most important thing...
