Mk1 never came in 16v guise unless it was a 2.0? Either way, you need to do a search on here, someone (Scotty iirc??) did a conversion on a ph2 meg coupe.

Tried removing the pollen filter? If its 8 years old and clogged up with shite it will hinder the air flow.

Imo, anything other than standard wheels (or turinis) look guff with standard suspension.
