regular forum trawling mate in the for sale sections, i got the silver set on the williams for an absolute steal as well......not that am gloating!
if i see any i buy them in clio fitment as i love them and they are rare!
roll cage consultation, plus bonnet got hit by falling chimney over winter, i scrawked the front bumper up and theres another chip on rear arch, all needs sorting ;-)
Gray, i'm up the bodyshop sunday, may give you a shout on way through ;-)
laura - i loves the mk 1 golfs as well, or mk 3 polo, they are my dub fetish's!
Fast_Dd13 - i didnt realise there was any other kind of clio? :-p
lmao, like to keep you on your toes dave lad ;-)
ai addz, after running this one for last six months decided its too good to kill or neglect, so i'm going to attempt to look after it!
ai fear not addz mate, its having rear arches done, all phase 1 trim back on and new, decent, williams stickers and wheels back on over this summer hopefully, pennies dependent!
just a superleggera fetish!!! same as i dont like renaults, just mk 1 clios, fetish for them as well in case its gone unobserved ;-) lol!!
willy wheels have been whipped off for inspection, and now polished lip recut, bit of a paint touch up on one, re-lacquer and centre caps resprayed! they...
..........greedy much?! :P
got distracted after fixing blown coolant hose on the turbo, decided to clean my white wheels as hadnt touched them since decemeber (ace cafe meet) and they were a state. came up spot on with min effort, cheers to chris for the G101 and also cheer to poor boys...
worthy lamb to the slaughter i believe
there is nothing left of the sills, and entire under windscreen area is fubar.
williams 3's and N plate valvers = rediculous rot boxes!!!
word to the wary, avoid ;-)
and death of another one ;-)
swap you for the vee add mate ;-)
aboo, do it, you know you want to and tbh phase 1 mark 2s are getting old enough now to need the same amount of attention to run as a well looked after williams. but a decent williams will still command more money
too right it is, rained to day so lasted all of what, 18 hours clean! got a trip to the cinema out of it last night, forgot how much attention a clean willy recieves.....ahem
been running a mk1 daily for years now, cant get enough of the rattly old love ;-)
haha too right daniel san, i was thinkin other day how easy wud be to swap some sweat cams and pullies in there, changed tappets other week and was a piece of piss!
wasn't blowing welds, it stripped a thread and needed a new gasket due to possible air leak and crap state of the gasket...
all depends on how it behaves and how much it costs me to run over next six months leading up to its mot matey
i cleaned it tho and fell in love again, damn mark ones getting under my skin!!!!llol
cheers for the comments guys, its by no means immacualte and looking like in need of some mechanical attention this year but all in all not too bad
plans include:
- fit the set of 4 parada spec 2's sat in the shed
- fit 'new' alternator and actually new aux belt
- fit megane or laguna jc5...
the passenger arch is okay, but right at the back where it meets the rear light cluster its just starting to go, drivers arch is a mess really, dodgy repair god knows when so its full of filler, wrong shape and blistered on the crap respray paint on it. also has a small amount of rust coming...
Bought 0199 back in october i think it was last year, since then its been my daily and hasn't seen a wash in the last 5 months
So with the cold finally breaking and the rain/snow stopping I decided to get off my arse and actually break out the bucket and sponge :D
As you can see...
jamie, not sure what bodies ronne runs, but its pushing around 230bhp
jack, no idea if i overtook you or not, i did a lot of overtaking on the way to fcs ;-) cars running around 268bhp and 250lb/ft at the minute, 12.8 second 1/4 mile
not the diff no, it was first gear, stripped it totally on the first launch!!lol
got it home under its own steam though, rattled the 100 miles back up the m1
