as said though its around 80 quid a year more than my clio williams to insure,which is a comparable car that i honestly thought would be more expensive! thats exactly same quote details for each!

is there a thread/forum on CS for insurance questions etc? i've tried search with little success!
if not then questions are:
1. what group is a phase 1 172?
2. who do people find best for quote as i was shocked to find lookin to insure the 172 that its much more expensive than my...
you can swap them? so they arent matched to the head like the cam carriers on the earlier F7 series of engines? is that a definate? as if it is i'll just get the 182 lump and bolt the cam cover off the phase 1 lump over as well :-)
is that a definate wont fit or most likely wont fit? presume its just the upper plenum, lower part is same on all 3 engines? phase 1 172. phase 2 and 182?
can i use a complete 182 engine, head and block, and bolt all the parts off my phase 1 172 engine to it to get it to run in the car? likely to be any issues with mapping etc of be fine on 172 management?
are all the sensors same etc?
any input much appreciated

couple of quick questions!
easy one first, will et 37 offset 15" wheels (7J) fit a phase 1 172 okay thats been lowered around 40 odd mm? i.e. won't sit out too far and rub on the arches?
secondly whats involved in putting a phase 2 172 lump from say an 03 plate car into a 2000 reg phase...
yeah tbh jord mate i asked the sprayer to do them a different colour, but he forgot, did them black! i kinda didnt want to do the whole black superlegs on xerus valver as it had just been done by you! lol!
oh well, they look good so keeping them as is!
