General rule is, if you can feel the scratch with your nail, its too deep to polish out.
Worth a try though, as it may take the edges off some of the scratches and make it less noticeable.
Top left of the pic theres a bit of s**t under the paint, and bottom right you can see its going a bit orangey peel.
I can spot paint repairs from miles away mate! lol.
Go very careful!!
That bumpers been painted before and it looks like a smart repair. The paint may not be very thick/hard and you could do more damage than is already there.
Its bloody brilliant.
As a motorway car, my P reg Van on coilovers sat on its ass is more comfortable, but as a A/B road car it is simply one of the best things I have driven!!
That does look nice, but what a waste. Those cars were disigned to be thrashed about like toys.
Another ghey Ford boy thats just going to clean it and look at it.
I've spoke to him already, and i'm going down next week. I will give him your number.
I don't know if its the Cup suspension that makes it crap on the motorway, because i'm used to driving big old german barges. (we went up in my 528 touring! lol) so i'm unsure how much of my observation is...
I'm going to reply to your text/facebook stuff on here because i'm lazy...
I LOVE it mate! Its bloody brilliant! Its tripe on the motorway, but then it will get used on a motorway about twice a year so its not worth worrying about. And as for running it in, don't be so daft. I've driven it...
All in good time dude! Its got 190 miles of flies on the front and i'm doing another 200 miles in it tomorrow. Its having the roof wrapped next week too. I'll clean it after the roof is done then take some pics of it.
I've already taken the crappy CLIO badge off the boot, fitted my i-pod lead...
Thanks Rich!
Enjoyed the drive home, I'm a little more deaf than when arrived but apart from that a good journey! took 2 hours to get home, not bad at all.
did in excess of 69mph (;) ) all the way home and it did 34mpg according to the trip thing.
I can safely say I recomend...
Most sensible thing to do imo.
Buying a 3 year old derv and piling on the miles is all very well, but come resale time you will need to be holding your nuts!
The following things are now missing from my life....
My respect for daves opinions
my respect for the way daves fights his corner regarding VAG cars
my respect for his knowledge
my respect for him choosing driver appeal rather than image.
That is all.
