I've never done one on a 1.2 sorry mate. On the 1.4 8v they are under the airbox and throttle body if that helps.

I'd try removing the idle control valve first. Whip it off, soak it in brake/carb cleaner and clean it all out and try that.

How would this stand up to the likes of TFR etc? As i'm a lazy git, I tend to soak the whole bottom half of my car in TFR, pressure wash it all off, then wash with normal car shampoo. If it will withstand all of that, i'll be ordering some in the morning!!

Just looked on ebay, and you can get a kestrel/dodo juice DA for about £80!! Cheap as chips nowadays!

I bought a silverline one off ebay for under £30 delivered. The pads are crap so I binned them, but for what I use it for (2/3 times a year) its been brilliant.

Shame the same can't be said for the valver! :(

What did you drive at 18/19? I had a Xr3i. Cost me £3k to buy it and £2k a year to insure and I felt like a celebrity driving it around!! We all put cars first at that age didn't we??

Audi lease was up at the start of September. It went back on the 9th iirc. The valver wheels aren't my choice, but they were the only et35 wheels I could find. Function over form etc.
