I prefer having a slow car for a few days, It makes you appreciate your own when you get it back.

The other week i got 365 miles to a tank of optimax. Averaged 37 ish MPG. Which i think is good for a 172. If you floor it alot though expect high 20's. Once you had it a while you will end up driving it like a 1.2 anyway. It's just nice to have the power there

^^^ Do you drive down the East lanc's most evenings. About 16:30? Spotted what looked like your car, think the reg started SE54 or something. I know the car from meets thought it was you.

I need new disc's and pads all round. Can i just buy the disc's for the back on there own, or do they have to be complete with a bearing and ABS ring? I've seen a front pair on fleebay. (these)...

I've got this problem. So far replaced the centre section and backbox. Still rattles at 4000revs. Presume it must be the baffles in the CAT that have gone?

i got some silver 182 wheels i want doing in anthracite. You able to do that?

Cheers for the advice. I've phoned my local paint man. Their spraying all 4 alloys for £50 in an anthracite colour. Subject to me prepping them. Got two wheels wet sanded already :)

I've just got some silver 182 wheels. What’s involved in spraying them anthracite? Could I get away with a re-spray and lacquer, or would I need them powder coating. I want the centre caps spraying too. The wheels are in good condition, so no chunks missing etc…

4 x clio 182 alloys in silver, a few scratches, 2 new tyres 8mm tread & 2 mitcho's with 3mm tread.
