Hi. ive just recieved my standard 172 backbox. I also bought a replica centre section for the same car. Where the two join together, the pipes are the same diameter. Is this a problem, and could the two pieces be welded together? Or should they slot into one another?

I think its either the cig lighter fuse or the break light fuse. Happened on my old car.

I bought my replica 90% done, so I spent next to nothing modifying. Happy with the real thing now though :) It would cost more to insure the 1.2 than the real one now!

I've cut the cable that connects to the catch, and taped it up. I presume the 12v black only operates once it touches earth, so yer i taped that up.

I've still got this problem with my alarm. Orignally after twenty seconds it went off, turned out to be the bonnet switch, which I have temporally removed and taped together to simulate the bonnet being closed. I set the alarm, and it didn’t sound after 20sec. I thought great its fixed. Later...
