VX 2200 arn't they similar to the Lotus Elsies? I'm not very impressed by then speed or handing wise I think I'll keep to the Clio even for its failings.
I had it set at Demon Tweeks and didn;'t have it long enough to asjust it.
I'd get the new hubs and get the setup checked mine getting a bit funny at the back now I'm thinking some rubbers have perrisher or I've bent somehting.
Never had any trouble in the wet with it the springs are harder so regardless of the damper setting the springs will make the ride harder.
What height did you get it up with? 300 at the front it was for me.
The only thing i can thing is the back was twitcy slightly (although it depends what...
£20 or so quid for the parts its not difficult to do.
Jack car up.
Remove wheel
Undo the top bolt which holds ths strup on
Undo the two bolts which hold the strut to the hub
Remove replace bolts and do the steps in reverse.
Spares are availiable they can build new dampers or the old ones cna be fixed they won't stick Cup pack suspension on though as then thats would be a modified car as the trophy should have trophy suspension.
As for whats better depends what you want trophy is good my preference would be Leda...
To crack 100hp from your car you just need a remap or good tunning box try mrhoot.co.uk for cheap boxes or go to Superchip for a good remap with a warently.
10-40 can be used so long as it doesn't drop to -20 degrees then its fine for use.
0-40 or 5-40 or 5-50 covers yu donw as low as -30 degree but if its that cold in the UK I'd have other worries.
0-30 and 5-30m cover down to -20 degrees.
Ttrouble fitting the turbo well you need to check its not going to be to big the 137hp one abroad is mapped to rev to 6k and a 1.9 turbo will take longer to spool up usually and might not make any more usable boost than the stock one you need to check the compressor etc maps to make sure they work.
None infact you'd get more lag.
You need a serious custom remap but a 80dci running massive injcotor pressure and stupid wide maps should make about 135hp but thats the limt of the injectors you need more fule to utilise them fully but custom injectors arn't cheap say £1~1.5k for a set which...
yes.
Turbo would fit with custom adapter making plus decat. (not that difficult) the portugest member on here has a BMW 2.0 turbo on his car.
Injectros err nope you could get a specialist to use them and your own to make bigger flowing 1.5 ones though.
Intercooler yep but its a bit big for...
Mk2 phase 1 cars come with a variatey of hubs most 1.2's use 52mm hubs the 1.4 use 54 and the 1.6 and 19 use 58mm hubs the Mk2 phase 2 use 99.999% of the time 58mm hubs for all models however some early Mk2 2 1.2's have 52mm hubs.
Engine bits ie head plebham intake manifold etc should be a stright swop but won't be worth it with the intake mods availiable now for less.
Suspension wont fit
The engine block is the new 8 series turbo block with different mounts and the lctch match is different as the new clutch is bigger...
I'd have the tracking checked.
How do you mean unsettled though does the back get light or just one side which might show the brakes as the problem.
Depending how you drive can have a huge influence though mine can get a bit loose at the back under serious lock up on the brakes but that due to...
