£250 to £350 depends where you are and what there like and if they know why you want one.
Then say £250~350 to take the engine out and stick the 2.0 bottom end on and say another £300 in parts as you might as well chnage clutch seals etc when the engine out as its much easier.
Then £50 for a...
Its the Megan bottom end you want or a Williams one but the Megans usually cheaper.
have a check oon the for sale section here ot a breakers yard they usually have the right megan type 2.0 engine.
172 engine is a lot of work need custom mounts to make the boom ft or you need throttle bodies to...

Value of yours maybe £2.5~3k
Cost is about £200~250 or so depedns where you go best get a quote.
You need to work out there size etc.
Measure the 172 hub then get the drawings for the calipers and work out where to posititon the caliepr then get a local enginerring place to build up a bracket.
I've got a 172 hub here I'll get the measurements you need from it tomorrow.
I think there still looking for a test car.
Have a look at Yozzapsort (the links usually on the top of the page) give them a ring and see what thy say.
The kits not cheap though but its still great value if your doing a lot of track days as you won't wear though disks and pads to quick.
Very low, depends the offset of the wheels etc but you can go down about 50 with the arches and upto 90 or so before the arches become a problem.
Yopu take the arch liners out tos top them rubbing and then have to seal up what the arches are there to protect.
You should get a decient 172 for that much you can pick up Mk1' 172s for £4k.
However there diffrerent cars I worked out for me it would cost me just in service fuel and insuranced an extra £180 a month thats before tyres etc are added in.
Yep different theyr'e thinner.
Best get a full fat on as there thicker so more resistsant to damage load of ups have had them replaced with the heavier one but you cannot tell the difference is tiny.
I'm ever happy for what is just a sporty shopping trolley. The suspension could do with being harder but its not desinged for what I do with it as an owner.
Grips superb on the standard compount Continentials it would go even better with coilovers or suspension changes sicne I have to run very...
Chris H (Ithink thats his username) on retro renault has one he has done porting bigger throttle body (from the 1.8 i think) and a few other bits.
80 to 100hp is a fair jump for NA its like taking a 2.0 172 up from 166.6 to 208hp and that as any proper tunner will tell you is expensive...
The SERV and AIRBAG lights come on its a common problem (almost every has it) its due to the wiring of the pretensioners going to an open circuit. Fiddle with the wires under the seat an the problem will go away.
On the early cars the solution is to look under each of the seats. You will see a...
Its handly if its properly done on FWD no spinning the whels coming out of bends the Focus RS had one which was argued by Evo and Jeremy Clarson to be to strong.

The 100 has the stronger box its a dirivative of one used on the Megan. Bit its not very nice to use box the 80 has a nicer box.
More important than Clutch and box would be the injecotrs and turbo my gearbox has been slight trouble reciently but that maybe just pure chnage its done 58k and been...
Engine Hp doens't make much impack on fun driving wise infact being as you can drive flat out more smaller engiens can be better.
Mine will do 115mph indicated on the clocks in a strong line (proved in Germany)so its not that slow plus it was loaed with 2 people and a book full of spare parts...
Soudns like a good buy.
Always try get a few hundred off though.
Ring Renault dealerships and see if they will sell you a extended warently (you don't have to buy till just before its 3yrs birthday but make sure they will sell you one).
Depedns try them all the 65 and 80 have nicer gearboxes against the 100 which uses a Megan derivative gearbos. If your intending to modify then you have to remember that the 80 and 100 is already at the limit Renault specify for the maximum allowed torque. There no spare capacity if you push it...
As Jon said try a specailist most places won't touch a 1.8 or 2.0 Mk1 a lot of specialists will do it for £300 cash.
Its a pain of a job to change and there a re fiddles to do it quicker but make sure they use a standard Renault clucth at all costs its much much better my uprated fancy one was...
There tolerances in the setups the 172 can be upto 10mm lower of highter than standard and still be fine the 182 will be plus ot minus 5mm and still be in spec so although the standard level for a 182 maybe 3mm lower the 172 could be upto 12mm lower due to tolerances.
