There not much more expensive than a 1.2 realy. However if you drive loads of hard miles costs are bound to higher. Plus youd uprate brakes etc which cost more than stock bits.
If I owned one Id be looking a brakes and front tyres lasting 10k (Ive got a lead foot). 12k and 48k services are £150...

Extra money for a badge and 13bhp isnt really worth it. If youre doing a lot of performance oriented mods it doesnt really matter if you get a normal valver or a Williams. I wouldnt go for a 172 over a valver, and I didnt, and I know people...
Id use they one they supply. Thats should be the best the eiback IMO is designed to run with stock dampers not th koni aftermarket ones.
I thought youd be getting Leda/blistein coilovers though. I take it youre getting camber adjusting bolts as well.
Be interesting to see the difference on the...
Id get the 172.
I own what people regards as the valvers big brother and a Mk2 and I do loda of miles per year and the mk2 is the better car for milage work.
Id get a cheaper Mk1 172 for £4~4.5k and save th rest towards a Willimas which arnt tat much more and have the upratd 2.0 vaver owners...
Drop GDI or BenR a call they fit and install a setup for £3.9k I believe.
Those trumpets look a bit small personally to make max power.
I think BenR was saying a while aga his setup would make about 210hp.

bet you cant beat 24 in a 1.2 8v
14 in a 1.2 16V is my best.
Still 29 in a dci 65 on the road adveraged after 30 miles or so is the record for diesel as far as I know. Thats not leaving the car for 10 minutes idling etc its...
The dci has the same sort of front weights as the 1.4 and 1.6 cars so those kits will fit.
Id gt a springs and dampers kit though its much better.
Dont forget that a 60mm lowering kit will lower the car only 40mm at the front usually. Shocks should be fine but black kro had Apex sprins i think...

1.4 16V 100hp
1.6 16V 110hp
We have to wait till next summer for the 19hp 6 speed RS model.
Orders wont be taken for a few months Id guess at least September.
