Had the wheels refurbished last week and this morning the car was looking trashed (yes, it gets driven - hard!) so set about it. Usual 2BM, Dodo Supernatural, Bilberry, i4d big fluffy yellow drying thing - nothing special, but I thought it was looking ace!
For everything - starting with the backbox (and maybe collector) next week, to the rest of the system at the start of next year. This on on the Vee BTW.

My thoughts are the metallic black?
What a hard day! Jesus I'm aching...
Russ was going to be coming over to do the car today, but due to unforseen circumstances wasn't able to attend - so rather than waste the weather I thought I'd have a pop at the car myself.
Wheels were done with Bilberry at 10:1, and the car was washed...
Well, Boosh can't have all the glory!
That took all of 24 hours to order after buying the car, and 24 hours to deliver! And two pictures of the car since I've taken ownership:
Cos Ali's been hassling me!
Spied this morning, turning left onto Summer Hill Road at that godawful roundabout that nobody seems to be able to use.
Didn't even notice me, I suppose!
Morning!
Question - could you use a V6 as a main car? Ok, it's not particularly economical, but could you use it to go to work and back in? It's a Renault, so it'll break down every once in a while, I know, but is it any worse than any other Renault other than servicing/maintenance costs?
Right all,
A while ago we had a brief HDD benchmark in one of my threads (I think) - now it's time to get the disk-to-disk copy races going!
Any type of disk is fine, but the rules are one array or disk to another array or disk. No partition-style multiple disks! Benches need to be...
Well it's been nearly 2 months now, and it's flown by. Not been the smoothest ride - it needed a new radiator a few weeks ago after the end cap let go, and with the arrival of the Trophy I've now got 3 money pits so progress is slow!
However, my new seats have arrived and I <3 them - don't...
Right, this is for the uber-techies. We've got a load of offices, of which this refers to three:
The offices are all connected to the datacentre via MPLS. This is not fully routed, and won't be. Ever. I can't change that. The offices all have their own breakout, and these three offices in...
More of a mini-project than a full on project, but there's a long story behind it and a load of little jobs to do so aim to make this a bit of a help for people wanting to know about a few little bits and bobs that I come across, and more than anything to document the car's progress.
We came...
All I can say is it looked pretty bad for the other car - not sure on details although initial suspicions are that the Pug turned in front of the 172...
All,
The apps thread is all good and well, but I figure it would be worth posting a thread for games to play whilst having a poo. I'll start:
Flight Control
Rope'n'Fly
Anyone else with some cheap/free poo-time games?
For their utter f**kup with the iLO 2 Management Controller driver (v1.9.0.0).
b*****ds.
c**ks.
tw*ts.
And their 'fix' doesn't even make it reboot any faster! Prey to god that it fixes the bloody random restarts, or I'll go and buy an IBM server instead.
Pillocks.
Can I kill DK?
AMD fanboys,
Do any of you have any idea if there's anything on offer in the mid-term future to try and stop the Nehalem rampage that currently is?
Ta.
Mine's started misbehaving, and I've been toying with the idea for a while just didn't want to unless I really had to... Well, it's now taking 5-6 boots to get into the 6th fresh rebuild of Vista, and I'm running stock settings. I may try getting rid of the SAS drives, but TBH I don't see it...
Right guys, my brain is frazzled and I haven't the foggiest how to accomplish this. Also not sure that this falls under 'PC and PC Gaming' - I don't think these are particularly 'personal' computers! Lol!
I have:
£20,000 budget
2x HP ProLiant DL380 G5s, with dual E5345 processors and 4GB...
All,
Just a quick one, showing off the final work on the new motor. Took delivery of it 2 weeks ago but with starting a new job and my dog going off I didn't get chance to give it the once over.
The motor is a 2008 '58 Pirelli Edition Golf GTI, with DSG gearbox. Not much in the way of...
What do people reckon? Do it? Or wait for games that can challenge just one of them and then buy it's replacement?
Will be running a 27" Dell monitor at 1920x1200... Then when I get the new gaff it'll be running a 1080p projector, so AA/AF will need to be up to scratch.
Ouch!
Just slapped myself in the nuts when I sat down with a laptop... Dell Latitude ATG D620, with the 9-cell battery on the front and the D-bay battery...
They're not light... Although my head is now! :dead:
Well, absolutely astounded by it! It's an impressive spec for the money (£250+VAT):
Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz)
Intel 945 chipset (needs replacing, but hey - still works)
160GB Hard Drive (Regular 2.5" SATA)
1x DDR2 DIMM (1GB Standard)
Bluetooth
Atheros WiFi
10.2" 1024x600 Widescreen
So far...
Yeah!
First time I've posted pics of the little monster - well impressed with it TBH - £35 a year tax, £25 a corner tyres, 65mpg all day long... Far cry away from £200 a weekend in the S2! It handles brilliantly, and does what it says on the tin! Miss Air Conditioning I guess, but that's it!
