Am thinking about taking off the Renault and Clio badge from the back of my mark 2 phase 1 clio,
and having the small holes filled and painted. Has anyone else had this done if so pics please.
what do people think to having it done?
cheers Tom
ive got Pi springs, got them from a place called ICS in leicester, but i paid £120 in total inc fitting. i think the springs on their own are somewhere around £90.
o and i also advise if u have got the spare funds, to get a whole new suspension kit, with new dampners too. cus im on 60mm springs with existing ones and the ride is serious hard now, u feel every little stone on the road!
no mate its 4 springs, the clios <98 had torsion bars, all the clios 98> have 4 springs.
so dont listen to them! r u keeping ur standard alloys or going for something bigger, if so id advise 60mm drop, im on 17s with a 60mm drop and i can still get full lock and a full load of passengers...
yes 172 front bumper and arches already on. am buying smokeys k tec skirts from him and am just wanting a rough guide as to how much they r gona cost to fit and paint.
i just been to Halfords to get the paint to do my colour coding, they looked at my paint code and they didnt have it in. so they then said no probs we can mix it for u mr james. okey dokey, goes away comes back 5 mins later saying
"we cant mix your paint code mr james as ur paint contains...
im going to halfords later to get all the bits i need for colour coding my side strips i also need to know the paint code for my clio.
however looking under the bonnet i cant see the b*****d VIN plate anywhere?!?!
its a 2000 reg clio , so hwere abouts is it?!
cheers tom
right then i am risking it and am going to colour code the bump strips myself following the how to guide on here,
from looking at it , its going to take a couple of days to do properly.
now obviously wen u take the bump strips off u r exposing the holes they normally clip into. is this ok...
my clios going into the body shop next week to get the rear bumper coded, they have said they can do the side strips too, im just wondering how much its worth doing, purely because if sum nob opens his door onto them, are they likely to chip.
any1 had any problems when they have had theirs...
just looking through the styling section of the website wen i noticed this pic in the external styling bit uner colour coding. am liking them alot, but would they fit the 172 wings?!
