Things seem a little better now.
I would say the pads and discs are an improvement over O.E.M. stuff. Used the other day from +100 m.p.h. repeatedly. No hint of fade, decent resistance to late braking and good biting.
Again, once cooled completely, noticed lack of biting and less stopping...
I've kept all of mine and have done since purchase back in June.
I've done this for many of the cars I've owned. Usually creating a ring binder. Filling the receipts under an appropriate section. This REALLY helps to sell a car, potential buyers love it in my experience.:)
Perhaps some more microfibre cloths are needed. Looking for quality items, that don't scratch, durable and can be washed. They'll be used for applying/removing polish and wax.
Any suggestions?:)
We don't need Mr. Clarkson to tell us that car needs more power.
Shame on Renault for releasing a car that weighs 1240 kgs and only has 15 more h.p. than a 182.
Mind you according to Evo's dyno test in issue 115 (most recent I believe). The 197 only has 185 h.p. Maybe the tested...
Not be cleaned for six months, christ, not good!
I clean mine every three days. It has to be said I never encounter any stubborn brake dust whatsoever, wheels have covered nearly 30K though they look like they've covered 3K.:)
^ could be the combo of Brembo's max discs then. I used DS 2500 with aftermarket discs, less sophisticated than the Max discs and they worked very well.
^ Thank you. I'll take the stereo out, but that's about as far as I'm going with D.I.Y. I'll leave to the local in-car entertainment specialist. At least I've got an idea about the connectors.:)
Could you elaborate on the detail of the damage that these metallic pads do to one's wheels and paintwork?
Thanks.:)
basically, the brake dust that comes off them is a lot more than anything else I have ever seen and really bakes itself onto the alloy, I used to spend hours just trying to...
I liked the Gold Class shampoo, good foam, nice aroma too. Certainly pleased with the finish also.
Now using Duragloss 901. Only slight improvement if any of the Meguairs item. Though it is cheaper.
Not according to several posts made in this thread and others. 37 is ok for 172's running 195 tyres though when using 205's as my 182 does, if lowered (which it will be in time) tyres will catch the arches. This is why I presume no lower than 42 e.t
Phoned POTN this morning, advised them of my concerns about the e.t of 37. Sales assistant phoned their distributor who told them they would order 16" x 7" Superturismo WRC's in an e.t of 42 direct from O.Z.
It'll take about two weeks for the order to appear. Though I've heard !16"...
I had a YozzaSport de-cat fitted along with my BTB exhaust system to my 182 Cup last week. Also fitted an ITG Maxogen kit.
It sounds great, other than that I've not really noticed any performance increases at all from any of the above mods.:(
Been advised that a re-map will utilise the...
Just recently the steering column controls have stopped working for controling the head unit on my 182 Cup. Also LCD display used to display the word ALPINE, but no longer.
Tried pressing many of the function buttons on it in hope that it would work, all in vain. Would check the instruction...
I plan on using H & R suspension in a few months, as I say, not intending to go to low at all, 20-30mm.
However I'm using 205/45's on the 37 e.t wheels, this is where a problem could arise?
