^ Shouldn't think I'll be able to deal with Clarkson at the best of times.
Can't wait to get all the handling mods for the Clio. At present everything is standard, though the ability of these Clio's is far from standard.:D
After 1500 miles I think I can honestly say I'm now happy with the brakes and the performance they offer.
I suspect if there is air in the system, it's very minimal as proved by some hard driving the other night.:)
Over the weekend when we endured some unpleasant weather, I went out in the...
Decided to swap my Exalto's over to my new wheels.
When I last took a new tyre to an independent tyre retailer they charged me £20 to fit and balance, valve etc, per wheel.
I live in the Braintree area, near Chelmsford and Colchester in Essex. Anyone know of someone else in this area that...
^ Indeed. An M.O.T. is due on Thursday so I'll get em' to check it.
Thought the engine may have moved, doesn't appear to have. Checked off side engine mount. Everything appears to be in place.
Noticed one of the silencer cans on my 182 Cup had come off it's bracket after a session of hard driving the other night.
Clipped the hanger back into it's bracket and noticed that the tailpipes are poking out by 10 mm, and both have dropped by circa 10 mm. All bolts on the brackets checked...
^ I see. Who know's how long we'll have to wait? Damn really fancied a set of them since F1 DS 3's aren't too hot compared to the (now deleted) DS 2's.:(
Conti Sports I guess.
I used a Helix organic fast road item in my Integra Type-R. Only lasted about four months before definate wear set in. Nice soft feel though on the pedal.
Used an A.P. item beforehand, again fast road organic. Lasted much longer. Pedal heavier though.
Thank you to everyone for their replies.:)
So, apart from the drivetrain suffering wear (aware of gearbox issues) nothing else to report really?
Engine can handle 200 bhp without failing in certain areas?
All depends on what one wishes to acheive.:S
Tyres and suspension will probably be the most rewarding rather than trying to tune the engine on your car.
A question for those with a mild state of tune at 200 bhp.
Hopefully once cams, inlets and a re-map are performed on my car I'll be seeing over 190 bhp on my 182 Cup.
The car is used day to day for the job I have. Covering around 1250 miles a month.
Is the engine reliable at around 190-200...
Soon to opt for a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's.
I believe there's two variations of the F1's, GSD2 and GSD3.
Does anybody know the difference between the two and which would be the better one of the two and why?
Thanks.:)
Probably been asked quite few times before, thought I'd the question anyway.
M.O.T. approcahing, not too keen on taking out the de-cat for the cat then de-cat back in again. If I can help it.
Anyone know of a garage which is helpful/sympathetic when it comes to M.O.T.'s with de-cats in...
Many thanks Rich.
I'm not at all happy with the work done, expected it to come back in better condition than when it left.
I've my doubts about how professional they. Shan't be returning.:dapprove:
Just collected the car from a local "valeter". Took it there to to remove some stuborn seat stains.
I think I've made a mistake in using them for an interior valet.
The two front seats look like they may have been cleaned with a brush too abrasive for the job. They have a sort of fluff and...
