I think to make it more realistic they fitted a phase 1 front end to it, the bit about the boot is a bit hit & miss tbh, some mk1 vee's have a phase 1 boot on them, others have a phase 2 item. I think they probably changed that too. For the 10k they claim to have spent they could have just...

Yep monaco blue, paint code 432 (the plate should be on the front slam panel above the headlight) If it's a darker blue it'll be sports blue (449)

I'd not leave it chrome, I was going to say white but you don't have any white on your car so it won't look right. I'd go with anth or yellow or something.
