I'm sure one of the developers mentioned in a video posted here that lap times set via means which gained any form of advantage would be listed as such in the leaderboards.
EDIT:
Just realised Roy had answered the question already.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 Discussion (New hardware Expected 9/6/2009)
The beta releases have dried up and most of my apps have started to receive 3.0 updates over the last two days which could mean 3.0 will have a public release very soon.
I'm definitely rebuying a 360 for this, I had many hours of online fun with Forza 2 against some of the other members here. Fond memories of my undriveable Clio V6 police car.
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 Discussion (New hardware Expected 9/6/2009)
This was posted on AppleInsider in a thread relating to the photo above:
There are quite some indications that the new models will roll out pretty soon. At least five people were independently advised by the hotline of...
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 Discussion (New hardware Expected 9/6/2009)
Same here after reading some of o2's recent comments.

I'd hope they allow a early upgrade for anyone who has reached 12 months into the 18 month contract. If o2 are to lose the exclusive deal on the iPhone at the end of 2009 then it makes sense for them to get customers tied into...
I'm hoping that is the case as Forza 2 was excellent, the videos did worry me slightly but I'm sure they'll not have taken a backwards step and over simplified the game physics.
All I need to do now is decide which 360 hardware version to buy.
I hope the gameplay videos are from a very toned down version of the game as I'd be surprised if that Ferrari would simply have driven away from a crash like that. It's great that it has damage modelling but crap if there is no real feeling of weight behind any impact.
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
Hard to get used too, really? I think the UI is one of the easiest there is to use.
Hmmm I'll be looking to buy a DSLR soon too, I'll go start a thread now!!! ;)
I reckon I'll await the release of the new Sony Alpha range and for the prices to tumble from rrp before I do buy.
