If your TV supports HDMI v1.4 then it will have an option in the settings for ARC (audio return channel). If it does, just one HDMI will do the job (providing your pioneer supports it too of course).
Other than that, does the TV have any other form of audio out such as Coax?
Jesus you guys really do have proper power PCs! I can't imagine ever needing some of the specs you guys have, but I suppose if I had the money to splash I probably would :D
Finished building my new PC on the weekend, but it still needs time for tidying up. Also had a quick play at overclocking...
Just had a custom built AV cabinet built by my friend's company, he said it needs 3 people to lift it! It's not solid oak but its very good quality stuff and should last as long as I could ever need it to! Chosen the handles now and it will be delivered next week!

Yesterday I pulled the trigger on (oops!):
i5 4670k CPU + Cooler
8GB G-Skill 2166 RAM
Gigabyte Z87X-HD3 Motherboard
Should go nicely with my GTX 760! Just need a decent SSD now as my 60GB one is too small.
Yeah, one of my best mates did too (I did back in the days of 1.6!) and he also swears by 120hz but to me it really isn't as bigger difference as people make out. It's all personal though!
Whilst I do agree that there is a noticeable difference I really don't think it's night and day. Yes it's smoother but playability wise there's nothing in it, it isn't going to get you any extra kills whereas the jump from 30fps to 60fps will (which is night and day!).
I've just bought a 2GB GTX 760 off ebay for £150 all in, to replace my current AMD 6870 1GB for BF4. I know it will be bottlenecked to hell by my 3.2ghz Q6600 but, I will hopefully upgrading to a i5 4670k in the next month or two! Between now and then it should get me a few more FPS anyway, but...
C.J. This isn't really related to the laptop itself but if you are going to be using it extensively at work I would definitely also get a USB keyboard, and raise the laptop up. I have my keyboard on my desk and the laptop sat about 4 inches higher. Unlike normal monitors and pcs, laptops tend to...
I don’t think it has changed as such, just that there are two name servers pointing to that ip and my ISP for what ever reason didn't agree with one of them!
What a messing about that was! After over an hours worth of phone calls to both my ISP and 1and1 I got absolutely nowhere and was pulling my hair out.
Then I decided to try and telnet the IP for auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk (212.227.15.179) rather than the name server and it worked! Once I did that I...
Joycey, I have done telnet auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk 587 and it says it can't connect.
Here's the weird bit even though I can send emails from my PC, i also cant telnet it either!
Could you do me a favour and try to run the same command and let me know what the result is? Thanks!
EDIT...
Not really sure where you are going with this but the guy asked for what other people have got and suggest, not what a Google search comes up with. He's already had a quick look on Amazon.
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately this hasn't worked :(
One other thing I have just thought about is about a week before the ISP changed I installed a LogMeIn Hamachi for a VPN server on the computer which can't send emails. I've tried disabling it but it does nothing... My machine also has...
Hi guys,
Recently we changed ISP from BT to Connexin at work because the distance to our BT exchange is approximately 7 billion miles so our internet was dog slow (less than 2meg for a network with 20+ systems), and the new connection is great. However, about 3 days after we stopped being able...
I'm not hear to say that he should buy a £1000 Onkyo amplifier and a £2000 Monitor speaker package, all I'm saying is that for the a reasonable budget you can get much better stuff. For one, Sonos is better (similar price), and the B&W Zeppelin is also better. There are other brands which are...
Urgh, I dislike Bose. Cheap quality components (crap drivers and paper cones) and good marketing. Definitely go Sonos or if you can B&W.

What Steven is saying is mostly true, but I will just put my 2p in anyway:
The whole PC gaming world is for me worth the initial investment to begin with, then you can essentially "drip feed" upgrades over time into your computer (as said above). Take my example:
In 2007 I built the following...
What about a decent AVR that has DLNA/Airplay? That's what I've done.
This gets great reviews: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hcs-home-cinema-receiver/str-dn1040#tab
Or, a cheaper but still brilliant AVR: http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-receivers/denon/avrx2000/deno-avrx2000
