I haven't used windows to shut down my PC for years, I just give my case a tap on the power button and it shuts down, don't understand why more people don't use this feature! That is unless your case isn't easily accessible of course.
Installed my H80i a couple of hours ago and have been stress testing since then, it's made a decent difference! I'm seeing about 12 degrees improvement on average and small FFTs are only taking the cpu to mid 80s. Perfect!
Now for moar powah!!
My mate had to do a factory reset because his calendar was eating the battery and no matter what he did (disable/greenify) he could not stop it. After factory reset it's back to normal.
It's worth checking what's keeping your phone awake if you're having issues!
I've never had problems with OCZ stuff, their PSUs were pretty solid, mine has been in 6 years and still going strong. From what I gather their SSDs were just fine but the company as a whole just ended up not being successful.
Had the most ridiculous conversation last nice with some idiot who loves Apple and hates everything else. This post isn't bashing Apple, but it's bashing the thousands of knobs out there who think Apple innovate everything and everyone else copies, here are a few snippets of what he had to say...
i5 4670K. I didn't get a great copy so I have to run about 1.33v into it to get to 4.2/4.3.
During intel stress tests it never goes about 75 degrees, same with aida64, but in Prime95, 1st set of tests it goes up to 75-80, and in second set of tests it starts hitting 90-95!
The main thing that slows people's PCs down is the slow amalgamation of programs being installed over time and clogging the startup/registry. This is usually because:
a) The user installs programs that automatically start up when windows starts (quite often unnecessary).
b) Some programs...
Just ordered a Corsair H80i to replace my Coolermaster Hyper TX3 as my cpu was getting too hot stressing with small FFTs in Prime95 (although it was fine with every other stress test). Looking forward to seeing the results!
My mate had to factory reset his N5 Lollipop last night due to poor battery (he was getting a calendar wake lock that he couldn't stop by disabling or geenify) but other than that he's had no problems. I've had no problems at all on my nexus 5 and loving Lollipop!
You don't have to be rooted to flash the image, but it does require about 20 minutes to get it all set up. Although, it is pretty easy to do and you can't really go wrong if you use Wugfresh's Nexus Toolkit. Just open the toolkit and click "Full Driver Install Automatic/Manual" and then once...
If you have any of the below phones:
Nexus 5
Nexus 7 (2012)
Nexus 7 (2013)
Nexus 10
Nexus 7 3G and Nexus 4 (Coming soon)
Then you should now be able to update to Android 5.0 L! Go to settings > about phone > system updates and check for updates and it should be there. If it says that you are...
Aye confirmed prices now up.
A steep increase from the Nexus 5 but compared to other flagship phones it's still decent money, but no compromises this time like the two previous Nexus phones (camera, battery, possibly build quality).
Just found out that we are getting FTTC before the end of December, can't fooking wait!!
Currently get about 6.5mb which is frustrating at times, the Cab is about 300 yards away so hoping for 5 times that, that's if Sky Fibre use the same network as Openreach which I think they do (it's only...
I also have a 4x4m room and I ripped put my fireplace so that my TV could go there and my speakers in either corner. We only used the fire two or three times a year so AV positioning was more important to me!
3D never took off because ultimately people don't want to wear glasses and there's no efficient way of projecting it without. But yeah I can't comment on the quality of 4k TVs because I've never really looked!
Whilst I agree there isn't much content at the moment I think you're claim of 5 years before it becomes mainstream is massively wrong, I reckon within two years we'll have it.
Firstly, netflix, youtube and other services have already started with 4k, secondly, the rate at which BT are rolling...
