I've replaced Internet Tablet 2006 with the 2007 Hacker Edition and it looks far better and has some good improvements. Also appears to be running faster.

Unfortunately not :( It runs on Internet Tablet 2006. J273 you need to make sure and add all the relevant server addresses within the Application Installer. When you have done that Maemo mapper will appear within the list of available apps and can be installed from there...

I installed Maemo Mapper, it's quite a good but basic sat nav option. Pidgin Messenger is excellent.

That's not so good. They recalled the original Xbox power supply for the exact same problem.

Probably around £350 for the 8gb model which is not cheap. If it does not include 3G support then I'll probably wait for a revised model. In America it's a 24 month contract so if we get the same setup here I'd rather wait and get a phone that is more suited to the UK network.

The OS runs incredibly fast in comparison to my N73 and the screen res is the dogs b.

The browser is excellent and very easy to use, the touch screen works brilliantly for scrolling, zoom and text input.

I had a play with a iPhone tonight and I was very impressed by it. I'll wait and see how much it's gonna cost and what price plans are on offer here before I decide if it's for me or not. The iPod functionality is awesome and the net browser ain't at all bad either. it's a finger print magnet :D

play.com still have them available. Expansys sold all 113 remaining units yesterday. It's a nice gadget, no idea how often it'll get used but at this price that's not a concern.

On closer inspection there does appear to be a plastic coating or overlay on the screen but I don't know if that is part of the screen or not :D

No I've not ordered one yet. Several posts I'd read said that it had a protector over the screen but I cannot see one there.

It's possible to use a stylus or if you press the screen using your finger a larger keypad appears on screen. Handwriting recognition is also included but is a bit crap.

I've installed Maemo Mapper onto the N770 for sat nav using Google Maps data, it's very similar to Nokia's Smart2Go app.

It's arrived :) Looks like I ordered one just in time as Expansys are no longer listing the 770.

Don't upgrade the firmware to the most recent version if you use a bluetooth gps module with your phone or you may find it no longer works :(

Be sure and factor in the obligatory adapter leads etc that they insist you'll need :D Before you know it you'll have paid far more than you intended.

My 770 was shipped this morning by 9am Next Day Special Delivery. Not sure if it'll arrive on a Saturday though.
