I never said you were getting excited about it. It was a general comment.
I do agree with David though that if it forces BD prices downwards then that can only be good.
With the major studios leaving HD-DVD I don't really see the need to get excited about the new larger capacity disc. Very little use if it has no media available to store.
Yeah BD has won this war. Now to fight the BD v SD battle which will be far tougher.
I reckon they'll end up including both SD & BD in the same dvd package whenever you buy a film and encourage people to make use of the better quality format.
As a point of reference a brand new 60gb is still available for purchase from online retailers for £399 inc postage.
Euro model but warranty still applies.

A new 40gb deal begins on Friday 18th Jan...
I never understand the problem people have with iTunes. It runs well on the Mac and does an easy job of transferring music/movies to the iPod or iPhone.
I've always found my 20mb VM connection to be perfectly good and unless I download over 3gb between those peak hours then my connection speed does not drop.
They've recently reduced the peak time period, it used to apply until midnight.
I decided against buying one of these. My only real use for it would be to browse the net on but I have a iPhone for that so decided to spend my cash elsewhere.
I have the TT One XL running v7 software with the latest maps. A v2 TT One/XL is best as they use a SD card and can be easily upgraded to new maps etc if you look in the correct places online.
Until 1.1.3 is released then there is no guarantee what will happen, I'd recommend you don't rush to install any new update until you read comments online from those who have.
Worst case scenario is that you perform a restore via iTunes and it will return your iPhone to standard.
My iPhone...
I've got a PSP Slim & Lite, it's good but I hardly use it despite the fact I've managed to get custom firmware onto it which certainly helps on the software side of things.
I'll probably end up selling it though due to lack of use. My Archos 605 wifi will no doubt suffer the same fate.
For the price I pay VM i'm more than happy with the speeds I get. DSL would cost me minimum £20 per month for anywhere near the upload speeds I have now.
I think that's correct. I've been with them 2 years now and at the time no DSL account in my area was offering anything better. Download speeds are more important to me and VM is very fast and until yesterday reliable :D
