If you want to view a good assortment of video formats without the need for conversion then the 605 is an excellent choice over the Touch. I have a 605 and a iPhone, the 605 is the clear winner for video playback.
It also now works perfectly with my PS3 so I can watch all my stored video files...
If it's only a couple of months old is it not the previous gen 17" with the 1.83GHz Intel C2D chipset? If the pic is of the same model then I think it will be.
I don't really see any issue with Joel asking questions here, if you do not want to answer then don't read the thread. It's not compulsory to read and reply to every topic.
Some instructions here for ROM transfer. FTP is definitely the easiest, ensure SSH is runnin gon your Touch.

I connected to the iPhone using an ftp program and it allowed for easy transfer of ROM files.
Are you running 1.1.2 again with Jailbreak? If not be sure and install OktoPrep before doing so.
Not this debate again............ Each to their own. I think the PS3 is better, you prefer the 360. Great stuff. Moving along.
Nice setup you have there :)
Be sure and follow all steps near the end of the procedure to get the Installer to appear again in 1.1.2, Jailbreak has to run for a second time.

I have Edge at home and for most of my train journey each day to/from work. At work I only get GPRS reception. O2 are slowly increasing coverage but I expect they will not rush themselves if a 3G iPhone is anticipated for 2008.
Data will normally include GPRS, EDGE or 3G.
Each message sent sends the ID of the device it was sent on so they would know it was the iPhone but I doubt o2 are overly bothered or will even check.
I'll probably keey the phone Jailbroken if it continues to run without issue. I've just installed Summerboard and I like the changes it offers...
