I'm slightly concerned that the o2 systems may flag the fact my iPhone has sent MMS messages and draw the conclusion that I have altered the official firmware. I don't want to lose my warranty.
The MMS sending works but it doesn't acually tell you the message has sent. I quit out of the app on...
I decided to Jailbreak my iPhone lastnight to see what was available using the installer. One or two nice features but I'll probably restore to default tonight.
I tested the send MMS application which works well but am unsure what o2 will charge for this as it's not currently part of the iPhone...
It's fairly simple to get the iPhone jailbroken to use any other O2 simcard, if you are fairly competent using a computer then you can no doubt follow the instructions for yourself.
Buying the iPhone from Apple, CPW or O2 requires use of a credit/debit card but this in no way ties you into any...
From all I've read online a full unlock is not currently available for the UK iPhone as the current baseband and bootloader combination will not allow it.
I'm not exactly sure why people on here are saying they have managed this as the usual unlocking sources have not.
Some people claim to have their iPhone working with iTrip while others do not.

If you want HD viewing then Sky because V+ has bugger all other than one or two view on demand options and the BBC HD channel.
Having said that Sky charge way over the score so I'd not subscribe to them.
I think when you jailbreak the iPhone you lose the Youtube functionality and have to reinitialise it.

The 42" I bought on Saturday looked huge when I set it up, I've got used to it now and it's no longer taking over the living room :D Still large enough for my needs.
I just changed from a 32" lcd to a 42" plasma and the difference is huge, a change from 37" may will look quite as different but will still offer more. 50" would have been too big for my room.
