Yeah I think that's the reason you never used to see LCD's above 37" or so, it was always plasmas that were big. Nowadays 42" LCD is becoming the norm because the quality is much better.
One of my best mates has a 50" Plasma from 18months ago and its fantastic I must admit!
Well hello,
I have decided to buy a new TV within the next month, my budget is strictly £600 or less.
My requirements:
40-42"
LCD
1080P
24P if poss
100hz - i very much doubt this is within budget
And last but not least, I need to be able to get it from a company where I can buy now pay later...
How many sticks of RAM do u have? 4x512mb or 2x1gb?
Sometimes having 4 sticks (especially on an overclocked quad) can lead to big problems with freezing/blue screens because the mobo can't power all 4 sticks consistently. I had 4x1GB of crucial ballistix 1066 RAM at standard timings/speed and...
Pretty much the same as me mate! My set up is 400D + Sigma 18-50 2.8, 55-250 and 50mm. I'm getting a 580EX II for christmas :D I love all my lenses, and I think the build quality of the 50mm is grossly underwritten.
Get yourself some big silent fans then :D Mine has 6 fans in now and its quieter than some of my old computers that had 2 in.
If you have just put your new cooler on, expect your temps to drop over the next week or so by a couple of degrees, it takes a while for the thermal paste to become...
Michael172 - How long have you had Vista installed? It's probably Superfetch loading s**t into your RAM, after a fresh install it can take a few days to settle down, but its in aid of a good cause and that's making your computer faster!
2GB is fine for vista if the computer is set up well, 4GB...
Well its for golf swing video analysis. The Casio would be perfect but its double my budget :(
A golf club moves at 100-120mph and i know from golf photography that you need at least 500fps to see the club clearly, especially at lower resolutions! 1000fps+ is ideal.
Yes I have seen that camera, it looks an absolute beast I must admit.
What about a camcorder? Can u get 500fps camcorders? That would do the trick! Budget is around £200-250 max
Hello,
I need to get hold of a high speed CCTV capture card for my PC. The one I have is a 4 channel USB one but only does 25fps, I need nearer 400-500 if poss, but I will try anything as long as its faster than 25fps! Can anyone help?
Cheers
Alan
Then you know very little about photography. Developing is 50% of photography....
Anyway back on topic, Grad ND's can sometimes help if there is a reasonably constant horizon line, but in this case it would have worked. The best thing to do is HDR (Take 1 RAW picture and PP into 3 differently...
Unlucky with the ISO, we have all done it! Maybe not for all day though :D
All I would say is whatever you are resizing them with is really making your pictures look crap, jpeg artifacts all over the place.
I agree with DK about the focus, where you using the centre point for focus in servo...
I agree about the entry level DSLRs, canon were very slow to take that one up. As long as both manufacturers are competing and are roughly as good as each other then it will be better for the rest of us!
Aye, if I was using it they would only be short burst video clips of people's golf swings :D I was just pointing out the differences!
I just wish Canon had brought out the 50D with HD capabilities like the D90, then it would definitely be my next upgrade! I would never change to Nikon, simply...
Yeah I suppose I didn't really think of that! This would be a dream camera for me though! Can't wait to see some proper reviews of it. I will be going for a 40D/50D next though!
Is it because you all love Nikon so much and won't talk about the competition? :D
Anyway, looks like a beast of a camera!
DPReview preview http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canoneos5dmarkII/ but if you look on POTN theres loads of different sites where people have had a play with the 5D and...
