The video function is not a priority, I've read that the battery life when using the video playback is terrible. The iRiver has 40gb of storage but to be honest I usually end up listening to the same core selection of albums which probably would make the 8gb Nano more than suitable for my needs...
I watched the aerial vid for around 5 seconds :D I'll check out the festival vid later today.
If anyone else has a bluetooth headset they can use with the PS3 then I'll go get mine out of the car before we go online.
It may be the best option as it'll hold more than enough albums for listening to in the car, for the gym it's a great size of unit. My only hesitation is knowing that for £15 more I can get a 22gb memory increase with the iPod Video.
Are the 2007 full speed Alpine units really that bad? That may be a factor in helping me decide on what to buy. I already have a 40gb iRiver mp3 player but it is very bulky and not suitable for gym use.
As a 3rd option I can get the 8gb Nano for £124.99 delivered.

Very easy to do if you install YDL but you'll need a usb keyboard and mouse in order to complete the install.

I prefer the PS3 controller to the 360, playing on the 360 this week felt very strange after so much time recently on the PS3.
GT4 looks great upscaled on the PS3 and plays better than GT HD.
This should be a good upgrade :)
