You can usually get the handset cheaper by having the retention staff mess about with tariff discounts etc and then credit the discounts onto your account. They may not offer discounts on the handset specifically but it is possible to have them do so indirectly.

They've never once given me a pac code, the retention department are not there to lose customers. If you really did get unlucky then the code is only valid for 30 days and if it is not used your contract continues as normal. So long as you speak to retentions and not the customer service fools...

Yeah that's exactly what a pac code is. Don't cancel but request the code so that you can move away and ensure they know that you are moving away.

That deal was through o2 retentions, I get rollover minutes & a free phone too. You'll only get these deals after your initial contract period is over.

Don't buy the Core system if you plan on downloading demos etc cause it has no HDD.
