Would You Use These Tyres? (Cracks Inside)

I would personally bin them, safety first man. The contact patch of a tire is small, so every square mm2 counts. Tyres need to be used regularly to remain supple

Clio 172 cup- fuel filter bypass???

This, plus: I dont think the intank filter just in front of the pump is able to filter such small particles as the fuel filter can.

    Problem changing brake fluid

Also, its a good idea to change the brake nipples to stainless versions if you have the mild steel versions. Source: I snapped two nipples when trying to bleed them.

    Removing Ph1 172 Gear Knob??

    changing sparks...

You are fine, 25Nm is a proper torque for plugs. I always handtighten them without overpowering, so they cant break. If you overtorque, they will break and you will be in trouble.

    Removing Ph1 172 Gear Knob??

Thx for the pictures, so if I understood correctly, there is no way to remove only the silver orb thingy?

    Removing Ph1 172 Gear Knob??

Almost created a new thread and found this one. So if I read correctly, this knob must also be pulled off with brute force? There is no screw base or...? I also have the round orb knob in my phase 1. Nelson & Ollie by Andy Ramdin, on Flickr

    Ph1 172 Dog Bone Mount

Reverse the last bolt btw, as the linkage can rattle against it!

New brakes and a good clean all round

Give the calipers a nice color, silver/black for OEM look or a nice color. Better than the rust look!

    Power Steering fluid change

I also did this, steering is a lot lighter now. I also made a small mess before I found the nipple location haha. Swapping was a matter of minutes though! I used Kroon ATF Dexron II-D for this: http://www.kroon-oil.com/nl/catalogus/product/64/atf-dexron-ii-d/26/

SPA Oil Temp & Pressure Gauge Installation

120 degrees for longer periods of time might be degrading the oil. Put it on 110 or so, my gauge (RaidHP) hasn't seen temps above 90 degrees (normal 80-85 degrees). I thought it was faulty as my turbocharged Seat Leon had temps of 100 degrees with normal driving. But the hot turbo adds a lot of...

    No drive, but driveshaft turning

Yep, had the same issue on another car. High probability the CV joint is shot. Tip: try to find a new shaft + CV joint (already joined together).

    Oil+filter service

This is one of the funniest threads I have seen so far here hahahha. Gave me a good laugh 😂 But, I also use the screwdriver method if it's really stuck. He-Man method first (preferably with 2 hands with proper mechanic gloves) and if that fails (damn Skeletor!) then the screwdriver...

The "Ive taken a pic and I kinda like it" thread
