not really...i dropped the box with mount bolt off and the box is still held in place by "something else" it seems...cause it wasn't resting on the subframe as far as i can see
anyways.... my version of the upper gearbox mount guide
put car on stands, place jack under gearbox but do not raise...
not sure mate....like everything else on the car...its airgunned in by my mechanic....it should be tight but...i will look at it next time when i get my digital torque wrench adapter
i had a look under the car...it seems the subframe isnt too hard to take off but...i will need the car jacked up...
cause im pissed and very close to burning to car
problem after problem....
anyways the main reason is... i dont really want to.take the subframe off unless i have to
and since the subframe doesnt fit in the car...i need to pay someone to pick it up for me
i searched already but couldn't find results to my questions...anyways....
are the missing lower gearbox mount holes marked on the 1.2 subframe?
how hard is it to drill through? is it doable with the subframe on the car?
i don't really want to take off the subframe in my car park on...
yea thought about it but....in my case its complicated....
long story short... my subframe doesnt have the hole for the lower gearbox mount so the mount is missing for now...
if i jack up the gearbox then yea...the legs should fit under the mount flange bit
i did try to take the whole gearbox mount bolt out but i couldnt reach the bottom bolt with a wrench
sorry yea the old mount is stuck...
crowbars....the best thing i had was a big long screwdriver.....
i was thinking if i should buy a bearing puller and have the legs grab hold of the metal plate...reckon it will work?
but if i dont take it out how can i replace it with the new mount?
i tried tapping the gearbox mount bolt itself with a rubber hammer but didnt work as well
first attempt...realized i didnt have a 18mm socket... went out and bought one
second attempt...cant get the mount off after undoing the 3 bolts... its proper stuck to the gearbox mount bolt....
tried prying it out with gearbox jacked up or released....but the rubber just takes the force
any...

well....my ps is leaking as well but engine side should be good cause everything other than headgasket is replaced
and im losing gearbox oil.selector seal alrdy replaced with the split type
and since its not leaking engine oil i concluded its not due to flywheel bolts put on withiut loctite
guys am i leaking oil here?
if i am reading this correctly, i need to redo this gasket?
if so, can this be done with the box in the car?
can i just undo driveshaft, undo the e-torx bolts that mates the gearbox casing to bell housing, pry it open, clean the edges and redo the gasket?
thanks
hmm i have a ph1 standard manifold and cat and a magnex exhaust and i find it annoying cruising at 130-140km/h
was thinking if i should go with a ktec stealth system as well...
hi guys...my box is pissing oil where the casing joins the engine block
there shouldnt be any seals inside yea? if not then why is it leaking so bad?
is it possible to check other stuff without taking the box off?
i have replaced the selector rod seal with that split in half kit already and the...
i replaced every aux belt/bearing/tensioner bit on my car but it still did it sometimes
after a bit it went to squealing crazy....drive a bit more...back to random squealing...then my car almost lost all power steering and my ps fluid turned black.
waiting to get it fixed..
did you file the whole shaft inside the bushing or just the edges?
and... jack on oil sump for engine mount/jack on engine/gearbox casing for top gearbox mount?
thanks
i have the same problem...still havent fitted my gearbox mount on yet
how much difference are there? i havent measured it with a vernier caliper yet but it seems its off by quite a bit
also..which part of the engine should i jack when installing the mounts? my garage airgunned the engine mount...
