    Failsport. Le Mans 2012.

Good write up/pics, must have passed on numerous occasions. Indeed it was a BMW, which now has a f*cked turbo thanks to said caravan.

    Le Mans 2012 - 8 Days, 1260 Miles with a 20yr Old Caravan

Considering the state the caravan came back in inside I wouldn't ever consider renting one unless it was a people + drink free zone lol. Took a day to clean and numerous repairs to get it in a condition to sell lol.

    Le Mans 2012 - 8 Days, 1260 Miles with a 20yr Old Caravan

Yeh Cambridge, got a few of them. Was an old spare I took, to be honest I think it just kept tripping out/overheating, works ok now but something inside is f*cked I think!

    Le Mans 2012 - 8 Days, 1260 Miles with a 20yr Old Caravan

Yeah, Friday was pretty mental. We left them in the marquee on Saturday after heading out in the dark. Came back at 6am and they were gone. Luckily the bike was free and the quad was a cheapie so didnt really matter!

    Le Mans 2012 - 8 Days, 1260 Miles with a 20yr Old Caravan

We spotted a couple of them knocking about, all the same cheap chinese 50cc crap! The only few hours we didnt chain them up they were gone!

    Le Mans 2012 - 8 Days, 1260 Miles with a 20yr Old Caravan

After going to Le Mans in 2011 with a couple of people before continuing on round Europe for a week we decided to do it again in 2012, just on a bit bigger scale. Booked everything before Christmas, then a few months prior started to get some things together. A couple of us put a few hundred...

    BMW E30 SR20DET

I need something that does good MPG (45+) as a daily for work, hence the 320d etc. Too much of a risk to use it on track and break it then not be able to get to work etc.. The gypsey caravan was for Le Mans. Few of us bought it to take and its back on eBay again now lol.

    BMW E30 SR20DET

    MK1 Clio Hybrid

The downfall was always the decoded ECU. Wiring is essentially plug and play (10 wires if that), just the piggy-back emulators were cheap and always broke. Its not possible to just flash a Sirius32 ECU to remove its immobiliser features, the immo signal has to be emulated. Correct they do like...

    MK1 Clio Hybrid

172 Ph1 engine loom with a valver connector spliced on (for engine), following the guide I made.. Interior was a cut down valver loom with 172 clock connectors spliced on following the other clocks guide.. ECU was unlocked/emulated so it does not need key/loom/UCH/MTU etc

    MK1 Clio Hybrid

We just got the two connectors for the 172 clocks cut off a 172 loom. Then used the haynes manual to find which pin does what on the valver clock plugs. Then cut each wire that was needed and soldered onto the 172 connectors one by one. Its really that simple... I wrote a simple diagram/table...

    BMW E30 SR20DET

I couldn't have an E30 M3.... its going to be an E36 evo or cheap E46 I think. 300hp+ is where its at!

    BMW E30 SR20DET

One of the deciding factors was how far the unit is away from where I live, and its not something I can keep doing after work in the evenings, just dont get enough time to do anything once I've got up there etc. Weekends I can never be bothered, it would be a good few months before I would even...

    BMW E30 SR20DET

Unfortunately I'm breaking this for parts, Its been fun but I simply haven't had the time to touch it since I fitted the suspension to the red shell a few months back, other things taking priority at the moment than building a car and having to work on it/repair it all the time. I'm buying...
