Its been done before by locking the pin inside, so has replacing the dephaser with an exhaust pulley (and seal) then just leaving the solenoid unplugged
Mk1s are the same with the rubber bush/spacer, never really looked at why it is. Mine was all falling to bits so i got rid of it and machined up a steel spacer that sits in the hole to the same height instead
Check the spline on the inside of the drivers side driveshaft, where it slots over the gearbox. Seen a few rip the splines off and the car wont drive. Speedo would go up with this problem too..
Another little feature added which will hopefully narrow down searching prices for parts/where to buy them from. If you click the shopping cart icon on a part row, it will drop down and show you where its available from and at what price. If you click the 'Buy' button you will be taken to the...
or just sack off the bulked up PH2 clocks and use Ph1 172 clocks which wire straight in from the sensors without the need for a UCH/MTU.........done ;)
You would need the 172/182 Hubs for the calipers to mount to, but they wont fit your 1.2 driveshafts or shocks. So you'd need new suspension and driveshafts before you could even think about fitting the calipers..
They pretty much are considering I purchased the said items from Renault St Helens a week ago, TBH its just a matter of dealers ripping the public off because they will just pay any price..
As for the non-gen parts, they can be had anywhere (and even cheaper) for those parts. Many traders sell...
Well a genuine cambelt kit is about £140, dephaser is circa £160 now and end caps are £13ish, so thats £313 for those... Genuine waterpump is about £73-75, so about £390 for genuine everything.
Although, if you got a Gates cambelt kit instead (pretty much exactly the same considering they make...
Surely it would be cheaper for you to buy a pre-fabbed cage in pieces and have it shipped (CustomCages, OMP, Sparco) to yourself, and it would still probably end up being cheaper than buying a machine, dies, etc?
I bought the basic 'bent' bars (Hoop, A Pillars, Screen Bar, etc) for my cage from...
Just found the details from when we last went to SpeedKarting.
Grand Prix, circa £50/person if you get 30 people. 5 minute practice per person, 5 races per person, top 8 go into final. Lasts around 3 hours
Yeah SpeedKarting is quite good, but when you are talking about an exclusive event (like three sisters) it gets upto about the same price. To make it 'cheap' you need at least 30+ IMO.
This was probably one of the best CS Karting meets ive been to...
Cheers, and thanks to the people who have submitted parts over the past couple of days from here :)
Couple of hundred parts are going to be added in the next couple of days, working through them when I have spare bits of time. Couple of other features being added too that I thought would be useful!
Done the same event a few times before there, its good because its outside but its very expensive for the amount of actual time you get out in the karts... 30ish mins for £60 compared to £15 for 20mins at most indoor places...
Cadwell's pretty cheap all year round in comparison to other circuits, and its best suited to the Clio IMO...
The RS days are very well run, nice clear track most of the time etc. I did a couple in 2009, but you can judge what is going to be there (i.e 172/197/200/Megs) and it gets kinda boring...
The distinct differences in Mk1 handling are between the Williams and Valver.... Williams has better suspension, thicker anti roll bar and wider front track, very good handling and a lot of people use them on track with the standard stuff. Valver has a narrower front track and does not handle as...
