I've got some old Hikvision cameras, i think 4-5mp, not the colourvu stuff.
2 cameras with a 1TB drive gets me 7 days of constant recordings. Depends how long you want to be able to go back.
I'm sure you can blank off areas you don't want to capture.
Yeah mine made the same noise when low.
Needs pressure testing as said, vacuum doesn't prove it'll hold when the system works under pressure at like 6bar.

I don't think there is a service interval for it.
Probably only gets done with a clutch change.
I did mine every year as i could do it myself and it's no more expensive than engine oil.

If it was just through a browser, when it came to broadcasting a hotspot it might have been defaulting to your normal mobile data provider.
