Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild] Isnt the ECU just ran from a single (black small) relay? Fuel pump is priming and running which is controlled by the ECU...if the relay was buggered wouldn't that mean the pump wouldn't run or prime?

Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild] Yeah, this has done it about 5 times before too. Standard wiring / ECU = fu*king w*nk! Last time it was the emulator, so a different one fixed it. Time before that it was an 'unknown', I used a different loom and it worked again for a bit...

On the two ends that stick out, they need filing so they will slot into the recess on the caliper. Its obvious when you come to do it

Re: Mk1 F4R'd Track Car Project [2010 Winter Rebuild] Well the engines back in etc, although had to lend two driveshafts to get it built up as both of mine are f*cked it seems :( Drivers seat and a few other bits done, windscreen in the morning then will try and run it hopefully.

Hopefully my car will be running by then if you do, lol.

Hes got some spare cams too if that is the problem iirc, lol. I have somewhere too

Ive had major problems (100% heat related from trackdays) over the past year with mine, replaced it a few times, not had a heatshield - wont start after its been out on track as the motor cant spin. Hour or so to cool down and it starts fine, but eventually gets worse and f*cks the motor.

lol, they look the same as a normal sump plug and are no lower, but just have an electrical connector coming off, the workings are on the inside
