You looked like you were carrying some speed coming upto the roundabout, car looked mean as in the rear view mirror, so thought id give it some ;)
As said....172 engine/172 front track/lots of weight saved, thats about it!
there is no requirement for heaters as far as I know, its definitely not in the MOT anyway. Weather there is a 'law' for it is another matter, ive never had a problem on the many occasions ive been stopped...
Why would you need to faff still sat in the seat, it takes 30 seconds to safely pull...
I dont see it as a problem, its too much of a handful in the wet anyway. Easy solution, keep the screen clean, and use a cloth to wipe the screen IF it steams up, which it has yet to do. Or you just buy a heated front screen for £200.

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Scuttle Induction setup has now gone! :)
So, this arrived this morning, Ph1 172 airbox...
Standard filter (for now)...
Before I could do anything with it, I had to get rid of the 172 header tank, and plumb in the Fiat item I found at the scrap yard...
if the car had air con originally you may have issues with some of the plumbing and the heater controls....but ive got no idea about that really
you're basically just swapping the bare engine, and refitting everything that was already there....so it will work just as it would have done originally
Had it weighed a while back at 827kg's...since removed some other bits, so low 820kg's at the moment...
Got another set of wheels to use on track now (15" Superleggera) which are 2.5kg's ish lighter per wheel than the current Williams wheels...hopefully should bring me near to 810kgs.
