anyway, its just like two rattles dead close together, like its doing 'rattle'-'on'-'rattle'-'off'....hard to explain...
dont know weather its something wrong or what though!
search all the big owners clubs....they are regarded as the most accurate up this end of the country.....as alot of the other places have been renowned to play with settings for the runs (tyre pressures etc) and hence overread....you wont be able to tell without looking at the specific details...
lol il believe it when i see it running and mapped on the road....and if it makes the expected figure at RST il be equally impressed, anywhere else and the true power could be anything tbh
Got an odd noise coming from the cam pulley end of the engine, wierd rattle when it gets to 1700-2000rpm. You can hear it rattle twice every time its revved....

got a slight (worrying) noise with the engine, just waiting for the video to process....i think its the dephaser pulley but shall see what people think
its the OBD2 Diagnostic Port.
RSTuner unit plugs into it.
You connect it to your laptop.
You turn your laptop on and open RSTuner Software.
You press connect.
Thats how it works ;)

...few here from when we were doing the preperation for it....75mm hole cut in the bulkhead, there was also a bracket behind where the hole was cut (for the Aux fusebox)....we ground that off, then smoothed it and painted today to prevent rust etc..Bulkhead...

Aux belt isnt fitted, i was going to suggest waterpump but cant be with no aux belt on :(
Bearing on tensioner or idler has been suggested as a possibility?!

Wanted to figure out what he 'knocking' was when turning hard, car seemed to wobble and shift one way when turning corners....
Turns out balljoint on the passenger had come loose AGAIN, despite the fact its brand new, new...

interesting, have you turned it over by hand on the crank pulley and see if there is any noise from the tensioner or idler?

noooo i meant......we know the pressure sender on the back of the block is not working as the guage is not showing a reading.......
i was on about the pressure sensor, that shows the light on the dash, on the front of the block... i just said to change it...

i said i think hes got no oil pressure (dial showing 0) but he thinks the pressure sender is fooked after his soldering efforts....
said to change the pressure switch that works the clocks for the warning light but not spoke to him since....
lack of oil in...
Had a cage sat here for 3 months, needs welding in etc....get interior painted, then just drive it for the summer :) Ring in july then a few trackdays booked after it etc....
*may* be putting some cams in it quite soon, but thats 50/50 at the moment dependant on a few things, but either way itl...
yeah...its been an effort working various things out between Matteh and a few others, that hadnt been previously 'ironed out'.....main one being the rev counter reading correctly, working OBD2 port and a few other bits!
It took a while to get it going due to the first 172 engine I got being...
The camera was on a window mount too....not much else I can do....hard ride eh!
Advantages.... ~170bhp on F4R over ~150bhp on F7R standard, better MPG for definate, my williams engine was pretty poor once you started giving it some...Also more options for tuning available...
