no idea on the plip, i just know the immobiliser only needs the key (with chip inside), decoder ring, UCH and ecu. one wire from decoder to uch.......one wire from uch to ecu. key has to be from the same car as the uch and maybe decoder for it all to work, or you need renault to code it IIRC.

UCH waits for a signal from the decoder ring round the barrel then the uch sends out a signal to pin 58 of the ecu which lets the car/ecu kick in and start

I had the guy that owns the carlton in one of the videos message me on youtube, asking for a copy of the original footage from where I was behind him.... ...what I didnt understand was my passenger was taking the piss out of his car, and he still wanted the footage lol...

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project meh!!! richy....its soldered and taped part way down the wire to hold it in place. it seems a pretty strong joint, alot stronger than the track attempt. is there anything i can put over the soldered part to strengthen it? sealer/glue etc?! JB, yeah...

Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project Well it dosent matter, i just fixed it somehow LOL I risked what richy22 suggested (didnt really want to) and soldered it to one of the testing points, then taped it into place.... Plugged it in, and boom......first time :)
