Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project Yeah...in the mk1 wiring, Pin1=Live,Pin2=Switched Signal,Pin3=Earth.....but its just weather the live is 12v or 5v....i dont think its 5v, as when I removed it from the loom in the first place it was just getting a feed from a joint on another iginition live...

i was told by quite a few people on here if they are undamaged when removed (ie removing whole top cover) they can be reused without a problem but meh! I guess its only £12. Mine are re-used and they have been fine.

you just have to undo the first few rows of bolts slightly to raise the cam cover at that end and you will be able to pop them out undamaged.

whiteleys windscreen cracked in two places....few others of us got some pretty decent chips too!

think Daz knows how to get hold of them.... I may have some of your's on track, il check when I get home, still in kings lynn atm!

i could gain on whiteley (1.8 16v) slightly on straight line accelleration speed, but i was hitting the limiter in 5th at 120mph, TBH it wasnt far apart, which is shi*te really, as im running 172 engine + stripped + polycarbs...... check my project thread, ive again got problems of not being...

Most of the ones on mine on track were taken by Jams....others were mine.... Took loads more but thought id' just keep it to clio's for now
