Ouch !!!
If your careful with a grinder, files and wet and dry you may get away dressing up the stub axle as long as the heat hasn't turned it brittle.
Although pics may be better to see whats going on.
I think the AA would still pick you up if you never had your car and called them.
You...
:(
I guess you'll just have to look at the pics from FCS on here.
How far did the AA have to tow you ?
You'll have to get pics up when you get the rear wheel off and see what mess the bearing is in.
Heres hoping you don't need a stub axle too.
Its a bit of a s**tter mate, did the rear of the car twitch at all ?
Although it may be an idea to ask around and see if anyone can help you.
Lol at you at FCS sitting in Cs :rasp:
Looking sweet mate, your car turned out good
Do i spy a Cf Splitter ?
Did you seal/polish your wheels ?
and what did you use on the black plastics ?
I guess its down to personal choice and in the real world (off the track)
There aint anything in it between a cup and FF as i have found out.
Although i await the comments saying theres miles in it :rasp:
As Rollo said, it may be worthwhile returning those discs you bought and get ones with bearings already pressed in to save you a lot of hassle and extra work.
You can get them from the likes of K Tec Racing , Nw Performance etc if your local sealer is too expensive.
I have found Nw Performance...
Lol at Ghetto fix.
CS Ghetto Fix's FTW. :)
At least it keeps the leaking gearbox oil off your driveway and collects it in the undertray till it overflows.
But i guess its just designed to keep road crap out the engine bay not protect the sump from knocks etc .
The sumps higher and the subframe...
All i can say is there is some mark up on this vinyl that people use to wrap roofs etc.
My step dad is a sign writer and said £90 !!!!
He would call his supplier (Spandex) and it'd be nowhere near that to wrap my car :rasp:
Ouch !!!!!
Heres hoping that you get it fixed easily with no bother from trailer driver.
And hope that the driver of the Focus claims off the trailer guy as it was his fault.
Any bad damage to rear of 182 and Focus ??
The trailer dont look too bad :(
It sounds like a Cup yu have bought mate.
Does it have a rear spoiler and a splitter below the front bumper ?
Don't worry if it doesn't as there sometimes broken and not replaced.
Lastly get some pics up :-)
I thought there was a few of the last 172's running on 04 plates ?
I hope the car is what the guy says it is and you come home with it.
If you do, get some pics up ;)
Welcome to the mad house mate.
Sounds a nice example you have there, get some pics up :)
A very annoying detailer, i'll have to meet up with you once i get my front bumper and bonnet repainted.
Lol ;)
Whilst looking at cars online i thiught i'd go onto Parkers Car Guide and What Car etc to check a few prices.
I checked my 172 and a Cup Model at the same time which were both the same year (2002).
Although it quotes with an average mileage of 80,000 which mine is no where near yet .
I found...
Looks great mate and spot on for your first attempt.
Did you do a panel at a time ?
And after applying som Polish to the pad and i guess have you to keep buffing with the polisher in straight lines until all the polish is gone from the panel and the shine/finish yur after appears ?
Where did...
