Ok cheers mate ;)
I called Renault but they never had any in stock, well so they said.
Evans Halshaw in Aberdeen are useless even for a sump plug :rasp:
So i ordered a couple of them and then went offshore the next day :(
WTF have you done mate ?
It looks s**t, and ruins the back end of the car :(
If you don't want people to know you have a RS Clio why did you buy one ?
Whats next removal of Xenons (if you have them), The Bigger than standard Sport Wings,Sideskirts,2.0 door badges and Bumpers ?
Oh s**t and the...
I dunno if this link has been posted before but here it goes.
There is a link at the bottom of this thread to the Renault Service Manual for the 2.0 litre (F4R 730) engine found in the 1*2's.
Although it is dated July 1999 and focuses on and has pics of the Clio Ph1 172, it is still useful for...
The undertray on my 172FF has a removable circle shape cover as well.
This is to enable draining the engine oil without removing the cover.
Although i prefer to remove the cover.
Is your undertray fitted the now ?
If so that'll be why you have no oil spots on the ground, its all being caught...
Outta curiousity,
How much oil is normal to loose ?
Just a wee amount that can be wiped off with a rag/cloth ?
Or will it drip and be caught in undertray ?
And i've heard as long as the oil is kept topped up all is good :S
My bonnet catch sticks on odd occasions and sometimes needs prised to its seated position with a flat screwdriver to allow the bonnet to click closed.
Should i call up my local dealer and try for a new catch ?
I never received a recall latter :(
Sound a plan mate :)
I may actually order that T piece from Demon Tweeks (in my attached link above)
Open out one of the holes to M14(or whatever it says in the Zeuss Book) and Tap it out to suit to take the original oil pressure sender/switch.
And use the other hole in it for my oil hose and...
"Our Best bet" ?
Lol :rasp:
The only thing is i've been online and can only find t pieces to fit the Standard oil pressure outlet (which is M14x1.5 threads) and these t pieces have 1/8 npt outlets on them which is ok for most gauge senders...
Had car 2 years and luckily nothing has went wrong so far.
Just Brake pads, discs tyres etc and servicing.
Its now on 59k and due a service again :(
I'm quite suprised i've had no issues for being French :rasp:
Ok cheers, i never thought the sump was that low :(
And isn't my Oil Temperature gauge better as close to the engine block as possible maybe in a t piece ?
