Does anyone know what the size of the standard sump plug on a 172 is ?
By size i mean what is the threads on it ?
Is it a M14 x 1.5 thread which is the same as the standard oil pressure sensor on the front of the engine block ?
The reason i ask is i'm planning on tidying up my oil pressure...
I have a 2002 172 Ff and was considering getting rid of my A/c as i never use it.
I was gonna remeover the A/c Compressor, Condensor, A/C Radiator, pipework etc and replace it with the Clio 172 Cup setup.
I have seen that Yozza sell a kit to do this for £349...
Thats what i thought, it seems simple enough to fit them.
Bolt on job done.
Its just the Ecu and sensors side of things i aint too clued up on :(
And who supplys Emarald Ecu's ?
And i've been reading on here that with some tb's you loose your coolant temperature sensor and have to tap out...
Ok cheers Fred :)
Whats the best and cheapest if that makes sense ?
Its just a f**ker i live in Aberdeen where there are very little good estabilished rolling roads around :(
And i guess the throttle pedal and throttle position sensor from the Ph1 is just a straight swap ? :S
Or is that...
Sorry to gatecrash here, i have a few questions :)
What would i need to run/fit these on a 2002 plate 172FF c/w Air Con and a Drive by Wire throttle ?
Am i right in saying that these kits come with everything ?
But i'd need to buy a Throttle Pedal from a scrapyard or dealer for a Ph1/Mk1...
+1
You pay more for it to start with and unless running a big powered turbo'd motor or something with a lot of work done to it.
Your probably wasting your time :(
Gains will be minimal probably, it may all be in you head.
You would need to get car on a RR on each fuel to confirm though.. ;)
Looks good bud :)
But may be an idea to get them layered up with decent car wax or poorboys wheel sealant from Polished Bliss on them.
Or they'll be a nightmare to clean and get brake dust off :(
P.s Is that white Tipp Ex on the bullets :rasp:
