Don't get me started on lumpy idle.......I am having issues with that, but got an idea how to sort it. Some pointers in this thread if you need http://www.cliosport.net/threads/injector-issues.792412/
My thermostat has been like this for over a year now. Yes I know I am lazy seeing as I have...
Mine is the same. When stuck in traffic it does increase to normal temp and then more if really stuck in traffic and then the fan kicks in. I have a thermostat just not got around to fitting it yet.
I did run a tank of Redex injector cleaner and two tanks of V-power for the first long journey after the winter as it was off the road for about 4 months. Then I started having injector issues - one was broke for sure as it was a 3 cylinder. But then occasinally I get this lumpy idle like what...
Mine put up an error when I was driving around with one not attached. Somehow it unplugged itself while driving. Not sure how. But if you have a code reader then it's not really an issue
Maybe that's why mine isn't throwing a code when the EML starts to flash, and only does so after a while of idle and then turns off when I restart the car, it's like one the limit of being an error. When the one injector did go (and when one wasn't actually connected) it was flashing constant...
Euro Car Parts, online price is about £40. That's for a Magnetti Marelli one. Same product as GSF and they want about £60.
When I bought one last month the guy on ECP was shocked how cheap it was, just ask for the online price in store.
Thinking about it, I have the same issue as you, I may...
Got 19mpg on a 15min session at Castle Combe on Saturday!! That is a record low for me. Needs to be worse.
Got it back to 35mpg on the drive home. Hopefully will get 45+mpg on the 4 hour drive to North Wales on the weekend like last time I drove up there.
It was the first track car at home that we didn't "build". Made quite a bit of money from the old Triumph we built so decided to buy something ready to go. It was pretty nippy. Was the first quick car I ever drove but I never drove it like it deserved. I managed a 59second lap around Llandow in...
That was my step dad's. Was built with a 1.6 Cross flow in it then he started it whilst in gear and it hit that bench and damaged the bonnet. But he couldn't get a replacement one so had to get the new style bonnet and then he dropped a 2ltr Blacktop Zetec in it and kept the twin Webber carbs...
That picture is a Roomster....but that Yeti is epic, and he knows how to drive as well. That Roomster was getting smokier and smokier every time I saw it!
Did anyone see that 4x4 go around? Think it was a Shogun or something. Totally standard and it made for comical watching. Probably shouldn't...
I love retro cars!!! Metro has to be the best. Turned down the oppoortunity to buy a nice MG Metro the other year, but I had my sensible head on and didn't do it. Would have been the perfect daily car
The closest thing I have "owned" to a retro hot hatch was the previous track car at home - Mk 1...
Saw someone yesterday who had a helmet net in the back of a Clio but with no cage. It was fixed to these points. But seeing as I didn't remove the interior from the car, I am not 100% sure what was there before. Is it seat belts? Just so I know I can source some bolts an copy this guys idea with...
It could be my inability to change gear. But I was struggling at times to get a gear. But the 5th to 2nd was definatley my fault, I just lent on the gear stick too much going into 4th.
I have not touched the gear linkage/bushes/mounts on the car. I am not sure any of the bushes have ever been...
I've read that there isn't much performance difference between the track and street versions, apart from the extra vibrations. But tbh with lack of interior and a stiff ride I doubt it could be any worse!!
After my track session at Combe yesterday I think the next thing that needs doing is sorting my gear linkage out. I kept missing gears, struggled to get it into second going into Bobbies and ended up going through it one handed, coasting trying to get any gear. Not ideal. And I also got 2nd gear...
So a bit more about yesterday as I am on my computer now, I hate using my phone as the Google App doesnt work well for the forum.
Weather could not have been better, I definately caught the sun. So track time.....was amazing! I thought the 4pm slot would be quiet, no it wasn't. I got mugged by...
What is it with those seats??!? They aren't anything special! I had quite a few comments about them yesterday. I was going to swap them out but I might not now.
After the track session today at Combe all of the work that has been done this winter makes perfect sense. The car is totally different to what it was and is so much better. It has highlighted some areas for improvement and I can't wait to get started on them!!
Yes!!! The Ph1 is good to go.
I'm picking my friend up in Bath at about 9am and then heading over. It's going to be a long day otherwise seeing as my track time is 4pm.
If there are any spare track passes/any one can't make it can you please let me know, my step dad would like one.
EXHAUST PHOTO! I am in love with it. Any one want an exhaust, go get one from Infinity.
The guy who fitted it was very complimentory over the home made exhaust mount, said it was the best he had seen. This made my brother happy as he made it. Tiger Seal ftw
Also had a quick wash.
But...
