a lot of people get a ported inlet to improve the airflow yes mate, makes a fair difference apparently.
will a lightened flywhell not make it harder to drive in traffic?i dont know much about doing that?
nice ovlov!
you should get yourself on trampdrift if your not already mate, they'll love the car!
what engine is in it, i knoe the standard 1.4 is it? is actually pretty fast! i know a lad who had one racing a non turbo supra, the boxier shape and stayed with him to about 50!
nah its my mates for his 172, but when we picked it up the boot was full of other parts so i chucked it in mine and remembered when i was cleaning it today!
i thought you had clicked on medici and was being sarcastic!
well it cost me about £650 for the engine and loom, but its a low miler, if you source your own engine then i'd charge you just for the labour to fit it.
took me about 2.5 hours start to finish so call it £50 fitted, that ok?
well finally got round to doing this job this morning, was a bit harder than i though but once it was sitting straight job was a good 'un.
what you think, just a quick work in progress photo?

power increase is immense, i need...
i did the same as deb, been fine for over 6 months!
i never bothered with a primer or anythign like that and it looks fine, just did them black to make it look subtle though, i reckon with a brighter colour you probably need more prep.
i prefer the 172 to be honest, prefer the wheels, the price of them, not a huge fan of the exhausts on the 182 untill they are replaced with bigger ones!
pure luck im guessing mate.
he's been with them for 4 years though so moght make a difference?
he bought it yesterday and is driving the car today so its true...
