Get hold of the engine and see if you can rock it. Or check them visually. Mine were easy to spot as the mount under the battery was in half as well as the subframe mount!

As for plates there is only 1 type that work. Super Specterguard Plate Covers are the only solution of its kind that I know of, and far more effective than spray-on solutions. Illegal in several US states and most of Europe, this blocks plate...
The valver was starting to show its age with rust etc. After 150k mile the engine wasn't at its best either.
As for modding the 172 i don't think i'll really do much. Needs smoked side repeaters and inletmanifold work done by ben.
