No doubt there are many threads about this on here and on clio200.net.
As long as you are doing it for the right reason (driveability, not out and out power gains) then yes it will be well worth doing
It wouldn't be a simple bolt on job of course, but at the end of the day it's just some bits of metal pipework so easy enough to chop about and make it fit eventually.
You do realise that the std 197 exhaust tips are black and hidden don't you? the only properly visible ones have had tailpipes...
I use mine for browsing, a few games, Plex for streaming to my Apple TV, LogMeIn to control my media PC that sits in the loft, I use a Wake on lan app to turn on my media PC, I write my shopping lists
Alsorts really. I've actually sold my laptop now because I wasn't using it!
It will be much quicker and easier to buy a decent engine degreaser and do it by hand. You'll have a lot more control with a hose pipe or watering can and you can get the same result
Parts seems over priced to me. The coolant for instance - this can be had from renault for £12.40 for 5l of ready mixed type d. That's retail price too.
If they've over priced on simple things like coolant i'd expect all others will be too.
You'll probably find that ANY tint you apply to the front side windows will make them too dark from a legal point of view. Most are already tinted from the factory so any additional tint will push you over the limits of what you are legally allowed.
Just remember MPG isn't the only increase in running costs you are going to see. Servicing is likely to cost more, as are brakes, tyres, Tax, Insurance etc etc.
Mines the same, also it's not getting very warm inside even on hottest setting. It will be the thermostat. I'm planning n putting a new one in in the next could of weeks.
The only total loss I had worked out in my favour.
I bought a 306 D turbo for £1,550, drove it for 18 months, added 40k on the clock. Wrote it off and got £1,836 back from the insurance (first offer and I snatched there hand off!)
It's swings and roundabouts!
TBH you are very unlikey to notice the difference between maps power wise, nobody is going to notice 1 or 2 bhp difference.
The reason for remapping is to make the car better to drive, smoother power delivery and in the right place. If you're chasing BHP you have bought the wrong car.
Where did I say i'd been downloading for 24 hours? I said i'd downloaded 35gb in the last 24 hours (10x the 3.5gb the OP had in 3 days). That's less than an hour at full speed.
I couldn't download full speed for 24 hours for 2 reasons, 1) Virgin drop your speed after about 5gb and 2) I don't...
3.5gb is nothing at all. You could easily burn through that with online gaming and 'normal' internet use in 3 days. For example, I would estimate I have downloaded 10x that in the last 24 hours easily! (when you can download 40gb+ an hour, it's pretty easy to get through that much data!)
You do realise that SMD is an LED, it's just surface mounted. Also, you do not need to spend exta on 'Error free' bulbs.
Can't answer the question though, i've no idea why it's doing that!
I'm with virgin on the 100mb package, it's currently been up and running since the day it was installed about 10 months ago. I experienced the YouTube issue for a couple of weeks by all is well again now
Nice one, got it. I think I probably need your email address though, to add as a friend? Not really sure as i've not used it like that before.
I'll have a look when I get home (in about half an hour!)
I'll just wait for a nice sunny spring day (if such a thing exists?) and get it done then. I thought it was just worth checking if there were any in the area or not before slumming if on the driveway
I'm going to be doing the belts and waterpump, new thermostat & probably some track rods too (and any other bits I can think of). All of which I could do on the drive, but with the crappy weather etc it's not something I fancy doing. I may just wait until spring and do it all then.
Cheers for...
There's a company that refurbs them, i'll see if I can find it now.
EDIT:
Here it is, not sure on the cost but it's got to be cheaper than new!

I don't think you can go wrong at that price.
In the early days, yes 3 had there problems. However I think they are pretty much on par with the other major networks these days.
Hi All,
Does anyone know anywhere in the East Mindlands that rents out garage space by the hour? I'm after somewhere with a ramp but don't necessarily need tools (I have most tools I would need tucked away in the shed)
There's a few bits I want to get done on my car, I have the tools and...
